After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)
It was noted in the Sunday paper that Favre is within reach of George Blanda's record for most interceptions in a career. Blanda is from my county.
At least he Badgers are doing well. Penn State even looks like they might be bowl bound after an historical bad patch.

Who would've figured that after five games, the Badgers and Penn State would be tied at the top of the Big 11? :o)
L'shanah Tovah!
same to you
The business stays, building goes. It turns out I like the idea of buying fixing up and fliping the properity better the being a long term landlord.

in the rockies?......I suppose snow, landslides and wildlife dodging hunters .....here in the denver area still having good weather.......and hoping the Broncos early season success isn't a mirage........you?
From my perspective, it's gonna be hard to top last season. ;o)
Even our long, warm Indian Summer appears to be coming to a close. It's October 5th and I still haven't had to turn on the furace yet this year. Friday it's gonna be only 58.
We've been in the 80s the past few days. It was downright hot yesterday! This is pure bonus, and I've been enjoying every minute of it. Going back up into the low 80s today, but then the bottom drops out tonight. From August to October, literally overnight.
'The Evil One used his dark powers to remake these 'nobodies' from top to bottom -- taking away their flabby guts, sagging behinds and oversized schnozzes, while endowing them with high cheekbones, long, shapely legs and tight, toned buns."
"In return, the models must engage in unspeakable orgiastic rituals involving human sacrifice plus date really unattractive older Satanist priests," the researcher contends.

LOL. I just clicked on to this thread to tell you our weather changed last night. Fall is here. i was wondering if you had snow yet:)
We are at 49, and the wind is blowing from the north, and it rained. Right now I'm starting to see breaks in the sky. We are suppose to make it to 60 but with the wind it will feel colder. I think we're done with the really hot stuff.

Hey. You sure Christians won't be part of the early tribulation?
The Pats are not making excuses or asking for sympathy but they have petitoned the NFL to allow 6 man football until such time as they can suit up at least 22 players. Are you ok with this?
You didn't have to hire Vinnie Testaverde out of retirement. Look on the bright side.

And considering that about a third of the Packers starters are themselves sidelined with injuries, that is really saying something! ;o)
