After a nine month hiatus, The Neverending Story, the granddaddy of daily threads, has returned to Free Republic. Originally begun on March 24, 2001, as a religious discussion thread, the NES evolved over time into a daily thread spanning a wide variety of topics. The new and improved Neverending Story will feature conversation on religion, politics, culture, current events, business, sports, family, hobbies, general fellowship and more. We welcome you to hang your hat in our little corner of FR. We ask you to abide by the FR posting rules and, even in the midst of serious debate, to keep the discussion friendly and respectful. Those who wish to "duke it out" are asked to take it over to the Smoky Backroom. I placed this thread in "General/Chat" for a reason, so play nice and have fun! :o)

Saw the description, but didn't see the show. I might catch the rerun on Sunday.
No, he's not syndicated in my local Gannett rag.
But, here we are in April and the Buccos are only three games out of first. After three games.

But Bill tells us that actually if "Putin" is pronounced the proper way it is virtually identical to a slang word for prostitute. Pronounce "Putin" with that nasal "ahn" sound that French people make.
He also noted that this prostitute word is the likely source for the American slang that also has the same "poo" and "tang" sounds.
The things you learn in the Sunday paper.

Kinda surprising that the Brewers swept them. Since the GAB opened, the Brewers have been dreadful there.
I'm familiar with that slang word from the Spanish equivalent from high school Spanish. ;o)
The games were at PNC Park. 9-2 and 10-2. You could say our offense and defense both played consistently.
Last night they lost 1-0 to the Padres.

Apologies, I get the GAB and PNC confused.
One is the best place in the league to watch baseball and the worst baseball in the league to watch.
Sausages race at GAB
Pierogies chase at PNC
