Wow. Throw in a bluetooth card for wireless keyboard and mouse, and that's one cool little machine.

So it has VGA capabilty. Does that mean you can effectively use a spare VGA monitor laying around the house?

Not being Apple wise, what kind of mouse and keyboard connectors does a Mac use?

Standard USB connections, just like PCs. I use Kensington and LogiTech mouse devices.

Foe same price you get a Dell with 512MB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM at 400MHz, 40GB3 Ultra ATA/100 7200RPM Hard Drive and most importantly a 17 in (16 in viewable,.27dp) E773c CRT Monitor!

This Apple doesn't even have a monitor.
You gotta go spend all that extra money to buy yourself a monitor for the Appe.
Comes free with the Dell.

Which will raise the price considerably.

I'd rather have one of these. A personal computer the size of a toaster.

Most people already have a monitor, mouse and keyboard that will plug into the Mac, so it's probably not necessary to buy those things.

Comes free with the Dell.

Dell also include free worms, viruses and spyware.

Right. So they're target audience is the Mac community, and not IBM-compatible PC owners like myself who have to go out and buy the necessary components to actually use the thing.

"Dell also include free worms, viruses and spyware"

Rubbish.
Show me a brand new Dell with any worms, viruses or spyware on it.
There is none.
If anything, Dell comes with free anti-virus. :)
You gotta do better than that.

I think the target market is PC users who are sick of all the problems they're having with their Windows computers. They can keep the keyboard, mouse and monitor to use with the Mac.

They can also keep the PC and use free VNC remote desktop software to access the Windows computer from the Mac over a local area network.

The majority of PC compatible monitors, mice, and keyboards are also Mac compatible. The only ones you may run into trouble with are products from Microsoft. That crazy Bill Gates, first he steals Steve Jobs idea and then he doesn't want to make a compatible product.

Dell does include in the box a crappy product though.

"I'd rather have one of these. A personal computer the size of a toaster."

Don't care what the size of my PC is.
I have a big house.
Plus I have one toaster in the kitchen already, why would I want another one in the living room? LOL!
All I care about is price and performance and service.
Dell wins every time.

I've never had a problem in the 20 years I've been a Windows user. Apple can make a computer that looks like a little red apple and I won't buy it.

Never bought from Dell, but I know a few people who are Dell computer users and they're happy with their computers. Matter of fact, I generally recommend Dell to prospective new computer owners. I myself would rather build my own computer, whether it's as small as a toaster or large enough to be a dorm fridge.

Your right they don't come with all that stuff, you need to use if for a few days before they infect and annoy you to the point of wanting to throw the thing away...
