Jack's Back
He's going after another Islamofacist threat, so get ready to hear the pundits whine.
A basic question. Ive never seen 24 but am recording it tonight. Is the premise of the show that it takes place in 24 hours or that the whole season takes place in 24 hours?
" He's going after another Islamofacist threat, so get ready to hear the pundits whine."
No he won't.
I love the show, but the main message of the show is that it is the American government and conservatives that are the real enemy.
In all the previous seasons, the actual terrorists just end up being tools of some combination of a) rogue American government elements, b) right wing politicians, and c) businessman.
I doubt that's going to change this season. But it's still very entertaining leftist agitprop.

The entire season takes place in real time over 24 hours. So episode 1 is first hour in real time, episode 2 is second hour in real time, etc.
5 minutes! Yea!
Count me in....huge 24 fan
come over, live 24 thread
Is that true? I've never seen "24", but plan to watch it tonight. I don't want to waste my type supporting the usual Hollyweird liberal claptrap if that is true.
The only reason we're watching "24" tonight is because of Michael Savage's recommendation of last Friday. He encouraged people to watch the show because they are supposedly using a Muslim family as the terrorist enemy in this 2-hr premiere, instead of a bunch of white Nazi-types, something most Hollywood films/TV shows haven't been brave enough to do, apparently. I plan to watch it out of curiosity...
Jack has shown that he's not one to tow the line. I'll give him points for doing what you gotta do.
He certainly doesn't have a problem with torture...but the show's rights tend to wuss out. Either the situation is bizarrely clear-cut or it turns out not to have been torture after all.
This is the first time I've watched 24.
*Shaking head also*... And that she's separated from her husband, but her father "considers her to still be married". Um... maybe that's because she still is...? Aren't separation and divorce two different things?
Big Oil... *gag*! Well, we're intrigued so far tonight... back to the show.
Ok, I don't like that woman in charge.
Do you remember last year or the year before when he was trying to infiltrate a terror group? He brought a snitch in for questioning then cut his head off with a hack saw. It was great tv.
The view of the government is actually that it tends to be slow and bureaucratic, which is why Jack always goes rogue. In fact, some of the minor villains are Jack's bosses.
I do contend that it would be a much better show if it were outspokenly right wing.
I don't either... hate to use a tired cliche, but she definitely doesn't "think outside of the box" for some reason. Ha! Jack just upstaged her and saved the day so far...
So far this show is pretty politically incorrect... I like it.
She was on the USA TV version of "Le Femme Nikita".
Her name is Alberta Wilson.
