I am excited about the Freeper Ball too. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Called my Congressman's office today to check on the tickets for the ceremony. Put my name on a list for tickets to the ceremony back in November....they can't find my name! Called one of my Senators, their response 'no tickets' called my other Senator (Clinton), they took my name and info. All I could think of is all the emails I sent to her regarding politics, though always respectful in my emails, me and Hillary do not see eye to eye....YIKES!!!
P.S. My real dress looks nothing like that one. LOL, saw that on ebay and had to post it. I had a hard time finding a gown, but finally found one.
Yep, DH and I are going. I was so surprised he's willing to go - and is even looking forward to it. He's never had any interest in FR; he's conservative but not a news or politics junkie like us FReepers.

Hubby and I have asked for tickets from our congresscritter and Senators - no response yet. GRRrrrrrr! Guess we'll hang out in the DC Chapter counter-protest area during the parade.

Glad to hear the weather will be getting better for your drive home.
I don't know what to wish for weatherwise here.
The rain keeps the fog away but when the rain finally leaves we will probably have very dense, dangerous fog.
I'm still looking for shoes for me and Marissa to wear to the Ball. We may end up wearing slippers. *grin*
We're staying 5 days and are going to tour the monuments and museums. Hubby has wanted to do that for years, so this trip is our Christmas present to each other. :)
