TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Radio giant Clear Channel Communications has come under fire from women's health advocates over a Christmas contest in which stations granted breast enlargement surgeries to women in four cities.
In the "Breast Christmas Ever" contest, 13 women were awarded the procedure after writing essays to the stations explaining why they wanted larger breasts. A Tampa station claimed to receive more than 91,000 entries.
Clear Channel said it had nothing to do with the contest and that it was a decision by local station managers to hold the promotion. The contest was aired on Clear Channel stations in Tampa, Jacksonville, St. Louis and Detroit.
The contest has drawn the ire of both the National Research Center for Women & Families and the National Organization for Women. NOW has urged its supporters to file complaints with the Federal Communications Commission against Clear Channel and its stations.
The controversy comes within months of Clear Channel paying a record $1.75 million fine to resolve indecency complaints against New York-based shock jock Howard Stern, Tampa radio personality "Bubba the Love Sponge" and others. The station formally agreed to "clean up its act," FCC Chairman Michael Powell said in June.
Sitting up may be.
You are so right.
I'm sure you'd even look sillier than you'd feel.
The Health Channel will air the ceremonies and the presentation of the "Booby" prize.
Hey, some of us chicks are just skinny by nature. :) I have a really fast metabolism, apparently, because I have always been "undersized" lol, even as a small child. Doesn't stop me from eating like a horse, though. I have to slow it down, though. My last annual checkup, my cholesterol was 138...yikes!
FWIW, a guy I knew in the service was like that, too. He was very tall, very thin, and literally ate 4-6 sandwiches for lunch. He ate huge meals just to keep himself at the weight he was at. It was practically impossible for him to gain. Poor guy...he dreaded eating.
Are they natural? It's kinda gross and she will be tripping over those things, before to long. Can you imagine the pressure on your back????
Oh brother! If the ladies want bigger ta-tas, and someone else wants to pay for them, then why is NOW even involved? I'd get bigger thingies myself... but I am already naturally big busted and I wouldn't be able to walk upright if they were any bigger.
The abortion ladies at NOW should leave our baby feeders (and the size of said baby feeders) alone and concentrate on real women's issues. (as IF they ever would...)
Agreed.
Not the breasts!
These contests have been around for a while. Nothing new, just new, contrived outrage from NOW to kick off 2005. Why oh why do femininists want women to be ugly and flat chested?
I have a fast metabolism too. It has slowed since I turned 40 nearly 11 years ago but I can still eat like a horse, 6'2" 190. My daughter is 25 and weighs about 105 or so and she is 5'4". My son is 6'4" and 210 - 220.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! I fell off my chair laughing at that. :)
She will probbaly want them removed someday. What about the stretch marks and excess skin???
She looks to be very attractive. Why did she mess herself up?????
"Girl with big thingies...
We are Ready to Do you now."
... Butthead in "Beavus and Butthead Do America"
Whenever I hear women like yourself comment on their physical 'attributes' it's usually a complaint.......most aren't particularly happy about it.
Well, the problem for many of us (guys) is that if we had 'em like that, we'd never go to work in the morning...
Almost the exact same thing for me. 29, 5'3", and (when not pg like now) anywhere between 95-100lbs. So you know what I mean. I just need to figure out how to keep it on without clogging up my arteries, lol.
You are about the same size as Mr. Ex, although he's finally at 200lbs now. :)
