We were just talking about that earlier - my husband said they had someone - not sure who is in the wings - my daughter is in San Antonio for the weekend so I can't ask her ........I just hope they get a little more control and quit this penalty-fest they seem to be so good at!

Vince Young is a sophmore - and he always plays like this - that is why I wasn't very impressed with Texas because I felt they didn't have a passing game at all - and if Young ever is injured it could be all over for Texas - but then again, they beat us by about 30 points and we had the #1 passing offense in the country........

Yep, other than Young and the tight end, the rest of the team was uneven to flat. Young saved their bacon.

Which, if history is a guide, means Mack will bench him next year and start a TV announcer's son...

"It WAS a good game. The LSU-Iowa game was good too.
The defenses were non-existent in both, however."

Those are the best games to watch. The only thing that could make a high scoring game better is if it were played on a muddy grass feild.

Oh, I hate snowstorm games, you can't see anything. Especially the guys that have the light unies.

"Being a Sooner Fan" it's good that you did.
You won't have anything to cheer about Tuesday night.

The Sooners are gonna show up, kick ass, and take names.

Wow!
I just checked the betting line and it's pretty tight!
OU +1
USC -1

I believe that means they expect USC to win by 1.
Not much margin to work with.

I think it was USC by three earlier in the week, but with Cal stinking it up and UCLA getting beat by Wyoming, some are starting to wonder about the Pac10

I remember years ago when the Bears played the Eagles (I think) in the famous "Fog Bowl" at Soldier Field. You could hardly see the field.

yup, now Mack doesn't have to whine and cry and plead for votes anymore......he had a good team but he proved to the nation that he has no class

yeah you are right, my Cal team got whooped. I guess the Pac 10 will just have to rest on their laurels of academic excellence, especially Stanford and Cal ( #1 public university ) and that the Pac 10 in the last century has 336 NCAA titles with the Big 10 a distant second with 197 titles........at least we are well balanced.......

just this year........a weak year for the pac 10...but hey,. didn't USC win the Rose Bowl last year and Washington State spanked Texas in the Holiday bowl.......each year each conference has it's highs and lows.

Before you thump your chest to much, recall that UT has several times also won the NCAA all-sports title, and almost always in the top 5, just like Stanford. Is always up there with Cal as the highest-rated public universities in academic rankings. And when the Southwest Conference broke up was (along with Colorado) considered by the Pac 10 for expansion.

Check the viewership numbers tomorrow, this will likely be one of the highest-rated Rose Bowls ever, and the Longhorn fans traveled well and have plenty of money to spend. No reason for the Rose Bowl to have acted so snotty, with their not-so-behind-the-scenes expressed disappointment with Texas playing there.

hey, I"m not dissing UT, I think they have a great team. I just get a little irritated with people dissing the Pac 10 when you look overall at everything, not just footbal, they excell. You're right, not since the 1950's has Cal done much in football but when you look at the academics and ALL the other programs they do pretty darned well.......

So this makes Michigan's final record what, 8-4? Hmmm, just the same as the Buckeyes...
