I was worried when Benson went to the far side of the field and they had to kick at such an angle.

What happened to A&M?

Same thing that happened to OSU i guess.

Something about those aggies

Yeah, no kidding. Also I was about pulling my hair out the way the UT receivers couldn't handle anything thrown or punted in their direction for 3 quarters. Vince really stepped up, I've never seen him play so well against tough opponents. Gotta admit that I wasn't a believer in him, but what a game he had. Not Joe Montana, but very solid, much improved passing, and he didn't lose it with bad decisions.

That Iowa last second win has to be one of the best I've seen in a long time. Wonderful!

Oh yeah, the Tech game was beautiful. So much so that perhaps it really wasn't an upset.

I wasn't impressed with him either before today, of course that is because he did this very thing to my team...... ;^)

Fumble fingers and McNeil stunk. I guess he's the franchise right now. Of course the 10am start time is ridiculous, but Tenn. seemed to be prepared, so it is no excuse.

The receivers looked alot better in the 2nd half.

The kickoff coverage scared me to death, though. They would bave been beeter off kicking out of bounds and not letting them return. At least they would start at the 35 and not the 50 each time

The Iowa quarterback, Tate, is from Texas, but I didn't pay attention what high school. Do you know?

Oh, yeah. Vince Young was actually awesome in this game. And, he's a junior or sophomore?

He's got to draw some confidence from this. He was the star of the game, for sure.

I .... wuz .... amazed. I knew they would blow it out their ass but for one superstar they would have. Geez! If I could just have that kids signing bonus!

I pretty much ignore college ball as it is SO amateurish but the Rose bowl was one of the best games I've ever seen. If UT's receivers could hold on to a ball it would have been a blowout.

Yes I think you are right - it wasn't an upset at all! lol

Longhorn, I have a daughter at Tech and a niece at OU - we saw their game this year and Tech played a pretty good one against OU - our penalties killed us....

But I would love to learn to beat OU ..... ;^)

So far, I'm 0-1. WVU lost the Gator Bowl. But MY team is playing Monday nite in the Sugar Bowl: ACC Champs VT vs. Auburn... GO HOKIES!!!!!

(I have to root for WVU now and then, "the boss" is from WV...)

Yeah, 4 times the coverage stunk and UM ran it back to midfield.

Let's not kid ourselves, UT still has holes and underperforms at times. And Michigan isn't OU, USC, or Auburn, either. Good win, but UT isn't the best team in the nation. But maybe, just maybe, Mack has gotten over a huge mental hurdle. And in each of the big losses, particularly to OU, there have been either several mental mistakes or just a complete sense of unpreparedness.

We'll see where Mack takes 'em from here.

I told my husband as we were waiting out the three time outs there at the end, "If Texas loses after I've cheered for them, it will be like prostituting myself and not even getting paid"

;^)

Tech has to come up with another quarterback to replace Cumbie. Tech has had three good quarterbacks in a row, but if a quarterback wants to throw the ball Tech is the place to go.

IIRC, Tate is from Baytown, TX, and Young is a soph.
