Well .... at least you will be closer to sunny California. :)

Colorado Springs is a beautiful area. I think you will like it after a few months, but I hope you are learning to ski and snowboard. :)

Thanks Amy. My main reason for not wanting to move is because my son is in school in South Georgia and the rest of my family is all near here.

Colorado is a beautiful place. I visited the Air Force Academy eons ago and loved the area. I lived in Utah - on the other side of the Rockies - and enjoyed snow skiing and hiking in the mountains, so I suppose I'd enjoy living in Colorado too. But it's just so dang far from my son and other family members in Georgia - and my daughter in Indiana.

BUT, hubby's brother and new wife and kids live in Colorado Springs, so we'd have some family nearby. That would be nice. And, there are some travel benefits associated with this job and the salary is good so I wouldn't "have" to work so I'd have opportunities to fly off to be with my family. I'm trying to maintain a good attitude, but I really, really don't want to move. But, it's looking more and more like that's going to happen. If not to Colorado, then it'll be Ohio, Kansas, Tennessee, Indiana, or somewhere.

Speaking of "sunny"...

Did you know Colorado has more sunny days than Georgia? That's good! But it's about 20 degrees colder there too. Not good -- except when I'm having 'power surges'... hahahaha
