Thanks Amy. My main reason for not wanting to move is because my son is in school in South Georgia and the rest of my family is all near here.
Colorado is a beautiful place. I visited the Air Force Academy eons ago and loved the area. I lived in Utah - on the other side of the Rockies - and enjoyed snow skiing and hiking in the mountains, so I suppose I'd enjoy living in Colorado too. But it's just so dang far from my son and other family members in Georgia - and my daughter in Indiana.
BUT, hubby's brother and new wife and kids live in Colorado Springs, so we'd have some family nearby. That would be nice. And, there are some travel benefits associated with this job and the salary is good so I wouldn't "have" to work so I'd have opportunities to fly off to be with my family. I'm trying to maintain a good attitude, but I really, really don't want to move. But, it's looking more and more like that's going to happen. If not to Colorado, then it'll be Ohio, Kansas, Tennessee, Indiana, or somewhere.
I understand not wanting to leave family ..... most of my family is here. I have an aunt and a couple of cousins in Oregon and an Aunt and Uncle, and cousins of course, in Texas. I have never been very close to the Texas relatives .... they were too far away when I was growing up.
I would like to move out of California but I need to persuade my son and my sister and brothers to move at the same time. Probably also need to get my BIL to move. Don't think that will happen any time soon. :) I have never lived anywhere other than Fresno County.
