Sharky, you know how it gets cold in teh room when ghosts show up?
That's due to them literally sucking up the warmth from the living.
They need the warmth.

Snakeses do need warm rocks as well.
(Very few ghosts are seen/felt out in warmer climes..)

I'm sorry all - for your concern and especially that I couldn't even talk to my Austin friends. As you know by now, I'm ok - NOT murdered! LOL; I'm too tall and big for someone to accost me. Even Brumhilda left me alone at the airport this time.

They had us going 7:15 am until 7 at night; it was ridiculous. We did not even have any decent breaks where I could call. Lunches were tied up schmoozing and there were managers around everywhere to make sure we did.

Since we got back Sat. morning, I've been battling migraines and some horrible cold, and have been down for the count. Miss you all!

Fate of missing French reporter still unknown

PARIS, Jan 17 (AFP) - The French government still has no firm information about what happened to journalist Florence Aubenas, who went missing in Iraq nearly two weeks ago, Foreign Minister Michel Barnier said Monday.

"At the present time, we don't have any confirmed information about their fate," Barnier told reporters, referring to the 43-year-old Aubenas and her Iraqi translator Hussein Hanun al-Saadi.

Aubenas, a senior correspondent for the French daily Liberation, left her Baghdad hotel with Saadi on January 5, and has not been seen or heard from since.

"I don't want to make any further comment at this stage, except to say that since Wednesday, January 5, the date on which we were

informed of their disappearance, we have worked relentlessly, in Baghdad and in Paris, to obtain the information we need in order to know what happened to them," Barnier said.

French officials have refused to use the word "kidnapping" when describing her disappearance, but last week, visiting Iraqi interim President Ghazi al-Yawar expressed sadness over the "kidnapping of this innocent journalist".

Yawar, in Paris for fence-mending talks with French President Jacques Chirac, said the Iraqi government was "doing everything in its power to obtain the release of this French journalist and her guide".

A group of masked gunmen in Iraq claimed a few days after the disappearance of the French reporter that a "female journalist and the person with her" were in good health, but did not specifically identify the journalist as Aubenas.

Chirac has since warned French journalists to stay out of Iraq, saying their safety cannot be ensured.

Two French reporters, Georges Malbrunot of Le Figaro newspaper and Christian Chesnot of Radio France Internationale, were released by insurgents in Iraq on December 21 after being held hostage for four months.

Well, it's about time! We were concerned that Bluto might've downed the plane of something. Sorry about your migraines. I know what a bear they can be. You're missing all the fun over here.

LOL! Bluto got the special floor at the hotel with a never-ending supply of hors'd'hoeuvres so he got to eat all he wanted while in Austin!!! Our plane was broken in Dallas but they gave us a new one, and Bluto didn't come back with me, thank goodness.

I'll go check that link out - thanks :)

Did you see the pics of the 757 that the pit bull ATE?
Poor dog got loose in the cargo hold and ate some of the wall apart, devoured some nav equipment cables.

"Bluto got the special floor at the hotel with a never-ending supply of hors'd'hoeuvres so he got to eat all he wanted while in Austin!!"

Meanwhile, in related news, the hotel has contacted your company and informed them that they didn't think they would be able to accommodate y'all in the future.

Thank you soooooo much. I think we slept too little and ran around too much, and even though I stayed hydrated, it caught up to me. I've barely checked the computer since Sat. - then I got an email from someone and realized everyone was concerned. I am very sorry about that. I never should have made 99% plans with the Austinites; our agenda gave no lee-way and I wasn't able to sneak away like I thought I could.

Am catching up - and laughing at all your and SL's hilarious posts and faces.
