Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Any holes in the wall like where they nailed the paneling? You'll have to spackle them. After filling the holes and after you do the corners you'll have to sand them smooth (after the joint compound dries.) Then wipe down with a damp sponge to get the dust off.

Could you recommend a good lab knife? The Boss wants a knife for the lab.

I need to be committed after the last half-hour of dealing with the most clueless person I've ever met You and Big'ol need to commiserate. His job is to babysit such a soul (grown man, uncontrolled ADD). Had a long day of it, too. (((Big'ol)))

Bah!
Currently the only thing I can think up to swing a min-moot is to go taking a hiking trip to the Ozarks some time this spring and meet up some place for lunch or some such. I am closer to MO than any other mooters by at least 2 times. I think the next closest is CO at at 10 or 11 hours drive which is a bit much. At least there seems to be plenty of hiking down that away which makes a good excuse. I wonder if there is any good rivers to kayak.
There is not anyone closer to Iowa that I have over looked is there?

I went out to the salvage yard this weekend pulling parts for my VW's and I was looking around for you as well.
I found some stuff you might someday need on your Bug, so I made note of it, also found a good drivers side front for ya'.
Probably cost more to ship than it's worth, but if you have a real hard time finding pieces and parts locally, let me know and I can hunt around. I know good VW dorks who love this sort of thing...hehe. Oklahoma should have plenty of good stuff...
Looks great, can't wait to see it cruising down the road...hehe
