"Singin' in the Rain" is on TBS, then "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"
Waiting to see if church is cancelled tomorrow. Our street is a solid sheet of ice...and we haven't gotten the snow yet.
At home, to get to church we have to go through a nasty curvy two-mile stretch that gets bad in winter. We have standing orders from the pastor not to try if it is icy... but are you supposed to do music or something tomorrow? If you're not, don't even try to get out.
We'd be singing in the choir. But I'm iffy on singing since I've still got the cough. I'm more concerned about missing a Sunday School class that I'm taking.
I seriesly think it's just a matter of time for them to call it. They called it Wednesday and I'm sure they just don't want to call it too soon if the roads are going to be okay.
We've got the cold but it was clear all day. The squirrels looked cold.
We're supposed to get up in the 30's tomorrow. Heat wave!
? Who was he in that ?
In the scene where Marty's playing the shoot 'em up video game, he's the kid in the green cap.
I'm watching the director's commentary. They say it was his first movie role.
Remember: it's better to miss one week because of weather, than six because you had an accident and are in a full-body cast.
What does he play in that movie?
ISSUES? That ain't the half of it!
Bummer, though.
One of the kids in the video game scene.
Thunder Snow! That is truly one of the strangest things I've ever experienced. The first time it happened, it was late evening and snowing hard. I saw a flash outside, and thought it was the snow plow coming out the street, then I heard the 'boom'. Not anything I'd ever expected!
Southern MA and the Cape is supposed to get TONS of the stuff. I'm still not sure what they're predicting for us. Last time I heard was 6-8" total for the storm, but it's only been snowing 6 hours and we already have 5"! They're expecting the snow to continue until tomorrow evening! The heaviest snow is expected from 11pm tonight through about 3 am. So I guess we'll see when we get up in the morning. Thankfully, we don't have to go anywhere!
I heard thunder during the Thanksgiving snow.
we be closed tomorrow
Corin: If you do venture out, be carefull on the ice. It's tricksy it is.
Yep. We're stayin' in.
Gots vittles. Gots heat. Gots books.
Evenin' all...
Hey Corin... sounds like a good weekend to stick inside. :-)
[sigh] Well, I'm back up at the office today. Had a server crash today and I was the only one "nearby" to come in and mess with it. So, I guess I'll just hang out in the big city this weekend. [sigh]
The good news is that the server is all better. A little laying on of hands and a ritual goat sacrifice, and I think she's healed. :-)
mmmmm...ritual....
