Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh, dear. I wish I knew what to say. Just concentrate on the final goal, yes? Move forward even though it's really hard?
And you are going through with this, if need be we'll send g'nad to get you on your way. I hope you have fire insurance.

Okay, I was just kidding, she doesn't walk, but she does type.
elf-boy went to sleep about 5 minutes ago, and has a damp washcloth on his forehead, with a cup of water nearby. If he wakes in the night, he will probably come get me, since that is what he did last night.

Heh...a fire would expedite matters, wouldn't it?
God forbid!
My main problem is taking this one day at a time! I have a tendency to see obstacles as one big wall insteada a bunch of small steps that aren't that bad taken individually.
And letting go will be tough. No way around that. Letting go of the dogs...letting go of the house...letting go of my daily routine...everything. It'll build character!
Guess I'd better get to bed. They're coming at eleven my time...so...prayers then!

Ok, will do! I hope you sleep well tonight!
They are big steps, but I know you can make them all.

Rosie - I think you are doing the right thing. Hang in there. The paperwork can wait, and I am sure that Mr. and Mrs. Whozit will understand, or at least empathize.

Heading to bed now. One more quick post though:
I told my family about this over the last few days. My littlest sister is both excited and sad. She's had two main questions, though, that she keeps asking - 1) Will I be able to write you? and 2) So...are you going to get a guy?
Heh...as if it's that simple. Plan for life: 1) Move to Colorado. 2) "Get" a guy.
She also gave me a long, detailed explanation the other day about why Faramir (especially the book one) is so great. *sniff* Growin' up right, she is! ;)
Good night!

Well, I've managed Step 1. Step 2 is a little harder, I guess.

how's Madelyn Diane? (do I have the name right?)Close enough, it's Madelynn. I haven't heard anything from by brother in the last few weeks, so I'm interpreting that as no news is good news. I've talked to two of my sister since Christmas, and neither said anything about any difficulties. I need to e-mail big bro and ask him about his little grandaughter.
Thanks for your prayer for Jen K. and her family. That's the only thing anyone can really do for them right now.

They have e-mail...so we'll probably do that. And, like me, she likes writing longhand, too.
Heh...I don't think Step 2 is exactly something you can just plan! She views things so simplifically sometimes it just cracks me up.

Here for a few hours...then heading home to meet the dog folks. Hopefully I'm not completely useless here at work...
We got more snow, but just a dusting.
I'm somnambulant. More or less.

Good morning happy campers!
Have the day off so I indulged fitness-elf this morning. Still taking down Christmas equipment. I'm taking time to organize things this year - label boxes, etc. One box is "Chotchkies for regifting." it's getting full. :(

I was going to comment on the throwing around of big words before my caffeine kicks in... but I can't think of anything witty to say before said caffeine takes affect.
