It's too expensive! I can't afford to buy more than a couple bottles at a time.
And don't even think of saying "boxed wine".
boxed wine...
You'd probably sink deeper if there was more than 3 inches of dirt over the limestone. :-)
But that doesn't last long ;~D
Lots of tug-of-war and growling in here this morning, but otherwise tranquil ;~D
Great pics - appears an equilibrium of sorts has been reached betwixt the dogs that dwell in the woods by the western seas.
Hmm, it looks like you've been adopted for sure...
This would be the dress for the inaugural ball. It's red. Needed shoes. Don't think the pair I bought match quite right, though. I may just settle for black shoes. I'd take them back but they were on closeout (and it would mean going *back* to the mall... ugh). So I'm stuck with a pair of 3" red heels. Hrm...
Steenkin' squirrels left their acorn "crumbs" all over my front porch.
They'll probably do that until you get an elevated feeding station built for them.
Lunch is over. Guess it's time to wash the car.
Red! You go, girl!
Did it have a US military Winchester 1200 trench gun? In the Vietnam era, the Marines took all the Remington 870s, and the Army got the Winchesters. Decent weapon, but did not have the aura of invincibilty the 870 has. It is scary with the 18" Enfield bayonet attached.
My job in the "civil disturbance" role was as RTO, and I carried the shotgun. Everybody else had nightsticks, so I was the only one with a loaded weapon. Between the flak jacket and the radio, I was so back-heavy that they had to pull me in to the back of a deuce-and-a-half by my shoulder straps.
At the range, I enjoyed demonstrating how easy it was to rip off five fast rounds of 00-buck into five different targets. Nobody caught on to the fact that I was leaning into the gun as I fired. Most volunteers quit after the first round, with a "^^#$#, that thing kicks". Spoiled by the M16, I think.
It was at a Michigan Antique Arms show (500 yards of tables), that I snapped up the only Winchester 1200 military that I ever saw. It sits in the vault next to my Winchester M12 military riot gun, truly the Rolls Royce of pump shotguns. It has so much machine work to it, I'm amazed it was ever built, much less built in the millions.
It took a long time for it to sink in, but American military-marked shotguns are some of the rarest military weapons out there. Their numbers are measured in thousands, rather than millions.
'cept for the growling!
Mmmm... Corn Bread Dressing...
I shaved them ;~D
Tranquil equilibrium was found out in the lean-to. Pretty lazy horse-day.
Didn't notice a 1200 Win in that display. Don't think the display went beyond WWI.
There was a big model 12 display and it had the model 12 trench and riot models.
I believe when some of the trench guns were surplused, Cutts Compensators were put on them to make them legal. At least that was one story for why some you saw in the old days had Cutts on them.
Once again, kewl animal pics, thanks.
