Quick Time has been installed on my computer and I don't know how it happened. There is an icon in the bar at the bottom of the screen and another in the "My Documents" folder. It is causing my computer to shut itself down sometimes when I try to attach a document to an email. If I click on it, it shuts me down. If I right click on the icon at the bottom of the screen there is no way to exit or uninstall. My technical knowledge barely allows me to answer the phone. I would love to get rid of this thing which I believe is causing these problems. Any help will be appreciated.

You've probably already tried this, but have you tried uninstalling Quick Time? Click on Start, click on Control Panel, double click on Add or Remove Programs, scroll down to and click on Quick Time in the Installed Programs List, click on Change/Remove, then click on Remove.

Very same thing happened to me.
It is not listed on my Add/Remove programs.

If I right click on the icon at the bottom of the screen
Are you speaking of items (shortcuts) on the taskbar , or items (programs) running in the system tray ?
