I'm planning on adopting a cat from our local shelter.
I haven't had a cat since I was young so I'd appreciate some input
on which of these cats that you'd think would be the best to adopt :)
I Know that there are a lot of cat lovers in the freeper community.
Many Thanks Nashua Humane Society
Personally I'm leaning towards Jamie or Whitney.

A cat who purrs promptly when stroked under the chin will bring as much happiness to you as you will to it. Even a fraidy cat can turn out to be a sweetie, though. Convince a cat that he can get lots of affection when he wants it, but he can always leave if he likes, and you may find that about five seconds after the cat wants to be let down he'll be nosing you again for some more affection.

cats have the dirtiest mouths next to monitor lizards. Filthy animals that produce no saliva so bacteria grow in their mouths.

I'll keep that in mind if I decide to french kiss it :)
Do they even have a dirtier mouth than Ron Jeremy or Pam Anderson? I think not. Human mouths are very nasty as well, they say that when you kiss someone that you're kissing everyone they kissed at the same time. Think about that the next time your grandma plants a kiss on you. Lord only knows where those lips have been! Yucky!

Cats have dirty mouths than cats. Buy a dog, their mouths are clearner than humans. :)

I've had several adopted cats. My technique for getting a good one is to pick them up. I don't like cats that squirm or fight being held. If they like being picked up, then I see if they mind having their paws handled. A cat that likes being picked up and handled this way without getting upset will be a gentle and affectionate pet.
