I spent most of the day cleaning out my putter, Ad-Aware SE, SpyBot, Spyware Blaster, Norton.
I also added Firefox browser and its all running fast and smooth, but...any pictures that show up on the threads are out of focus and grainy.
I know I probably quarantined something I should not have, but I don't know where to go from here to fix it.
Anybody out there have any ideas?
Thanks
BigMack

This reminds me of a similar problem. For those of you know don't know, those "web accelerator" "features" that are used by some dial-up ISPs recompress original web images, destroying the look and clarity of graphics, frequently making images look smeared and fuzzy. AOL has had this on by default for years, though it can be disabled.

Reminds me of something my niece pulled when she was about age 3.
Out of the blue, she starts screaming, "I can't see! I can't see!"
Grandmother [in panic mode] asks, "What's wrong? Why can't you see???"
Niece laughs, replies "'cause I got my eyes shut."

Sounds like you might have a monitor driver (graphics driver) you might have to download. My monitor (View Sonic) comes with a CD for driver installation. My old monitor (Compaq) I had to update my drivers from their website from time to time. I would need to know more about your system and what you have done to it and when these symptoms first started or if you have had them all the time.

Can anyone help me? The picture on my monitor has turned sideways, the top on the left, bottom on the right. I've rebooted twice. Tried the buttons on the monitor, propeties on thr right click.... Even swapped monitors with another computer. The picture is still sideways. I'm not even sure who to call about this. My ISP nephew says he has never heard of such a problem. Does anyone know how I can fixed this? My neck is getting really sore...

As I recall, without height & width being defined in the IMG tag, the image(s) must load before anything is displayed, which sucks for people on dial-up.Thank you thank you thank you. I have been trying to get people to add the height= and width= parameters for years now.

Now, be careful, sometimes programs can change the setting each time you open that program. If you got kids playing games be careful, very often the games will set to low resolution settings like you experienced.
