Why are coffeehouses over-run with DemocRATS?!?!? (Mod sets bongo aside, zots troll)

Posted on 12/14/2004 11:14:29 AM PST by CarolinaGOPer

I live in a college town in North Carolina, and recently I went into a coffee shop to innocently purchase a cup of coffee. What I instead found was a veritable den of sin, filled with Marxists and DemocRATS. To wit:

-The entire place stunk of patchoulli -Patrons were reading 'Tropic of Cancer', 'The Communist Manifesto', and 'Stupid White Men' -- titles that I would never want my good G*d-fearing children getting a hippie's length away from (of course, not a Bible to be found) -Two women were kissing (of course, I could only tell they were women upon further inspection, if you catch my drift; they seemed to be wearing very comfortable shoes) -Someone was actually playing *bongos* in the corner -The combined annual income of the patrons was less than what I paid for my car

Why is it, dear Freepers, that coffeehouses are controlled by these liberals? Why can't family-loving, G*d-fearing, red-blooded Americans simply get a cup of coffee without having our values completely desecrated?!? Are there any conservative coffeehouses, where this ridicuolousness is not tolerated?

I wasn't really apologizing. I absolutely love Starbucks and, Yes it is overpriced, but it is awfully good. Thanks for what you said, because I was beginning to feel a bit guilty(not quite though).

What don't you mind your own business?

I meant WHY don't you mind your own business. If you had something to say, say it to me directly instead of behind my back. "Holier than thow" people always do what you did though.

What, is someone at the cash register? Darksheare, did you forget to assign one of the lackeys to mind the cash register again? Sigh--it's so hard to find good help these days. . .

Business owner:

Hey! 15 minute break ended 2 hours ago! Candy ain't gonna sell itself out there!

PS: "What don't you" may now be added to epople on the list of FR catchphrases list. Catchphrases secretary please note and update database accordingly.

I would have, but I wasn't sure if you could read or not. You passed the test--congratulations! You need to work on the difference between "why" and "what", though--the 7 W's and all that.

Next time I'll remember to post it in the latest issue of "Flyers Digest" where BTM is sure to read it and tear it down :-)

It was in my face and as a customer, I didn't want to see Sheryl Crow promoted by the Kommie StarBucks.

Well, if it hurt your piddly widow feewings, you should definitely rip it down! Good for you! It's getting to where you can't feel comfortable in Kommie businesses anymore!

Screw the manager or business owner! It's not like it's their store to run!

Now be nice to the poor sensitive fellow. It was an assault to see those posters in the Kommie businesses he patronizes, and he only acted in self-defense.

It was HURTING him!!!! Have you no compassion? You cold-hearted conservative you...

There is nothing more intimidating to Leftists in a coffee house than a guy in a motorcycle jacket, black Sinatra hat, drainpipe Levis and Beatle boots sitting at a table with CDs from Black Sabbath to The Magnetic Fields scattered across the table, a half-filled spiral notebook ...

... reading National Review. People don't mess with you.

I'm gonna go out in my biker clothes now and play "Iron Man" on my headphones and hang out at Starbucks reading Ann Coulter and intimidating lefties. Don't have too much fun while I'm out!

I understand very well. Someimtes our fellow conservatives can be a bit obtuse when it comes to habits that are also enjoyed by those on the political and/or religious left.

Drink away and enjoy! I do.

So you think that the Sheryl Crowe poster for a concert helps this guy's business? No, it was put up because some Sheryl Crowe promoter asked if they could post it and they said "why not." That's about as deep as the thoughts of the coffee baristas go at Starbucks.

Are you as annoying in person? My guess is yes.

I always love it how the freepers gang up on someone. It's like they can't argue a point all by themselves...poor little insecure darlings.

But it's more fun if we invite our FReeper friends. You don't think I'd actually waste time talking to you by yourself for the stimulating intellectual conversation, do you? You haven't had anything positive to contribute to this thread. So from now on, I think I'm going to call you Negative Nancy.

So tell me, Nancy, do you get frequent flyer miles for ripping flyers down?
