Why are coffeehouses over-run with DemocRATS?!?!? (Mod sets bongo aside, zots troll)
Posted on 12/14/2004 11:14:29 AM PST by CarolinaGOPer
I live in a college town in North Carolina, and recently I went into a coffee shop to innocently purchase a cup of coffee. What I instead found was a veritable den of sin, filled with Marxists and DemocRATS. To wit:
-The entire place stunk of patchoulli -Patrons were reading 'Tropic of Cancer', 'The Communist Manifesto', and 'Stupid White Men' -- titles that I would never want my good G*d-fearing children getting a hippie's length away from (of course, not a Bible to be found) -Two women were kissing (of course, I could only tell they were women upon further inspection, if you catch my drift; they seemed to be wearing very comfortable shoes) -Someone was actually playing *bongos* in the corner -The combined annual income of the patrons was less than what I paid for my car
Why is it, dear Freepers, that coffeehouses are controlled by these liberals? Why can't family-loving, G*d-fearing, red-blooded Americans simply get a cup of coffee without having our values completely desecrated?!? Are there any conservative coffeehouses, where this ridicuolousness is not tolerated?

I really like this new spreadsheet rating thingie
Glad to be of service as always. aMorePerfectUnion started it, but I think TBarnett34 is honing it to a fine beeber-like stuning device.

Generally in a 16 ounce blown-glass mug, when I made them at home, generally a 12 ounce-drink plus foam and whipped creme (grin) And guaranteed to keep you wired and to blow the diet to hell and back. Sounds like a winner

I had to break up a fight over on the North Carolina board. Those guys really strain the Molasses Miasma of Niceness generator to its limits.
Plus I've never been in a coffeehouse ... too old, I guess.

I still need to get a more refined ranking system. I haven't had anyone score higher than CarolinaGOPer yet.

I don't even know what a coffeehouse is. Is it anything like a gingerbread house?

Interesting thought ... stick it together with lots of glue, and let it harden in sheets?

You know, I went to that same coffeehouse, and the barrista told me, on my deathbed, I would achieve total decaffeination, so I got that going for me.

LOL. Good post.
Why did they take over the coffehouses? A couple of theories.
a. Who the hell else has countless hours to spend dong absolutely nothing of value.
b. Communists have always had the need to sit around with other communists and talk about the coming revolution.
c. Who else would let them sit around for hours after a $2.50 purchase?
