SUSPECT VERSUS VICTIM

IF YOU WERE FORCED TO KILL SOMEONE WHO STARTED SHOOTING AT YOU IN TEXAS, YOU ARE CONSIDERED THE SUSPECT EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN CLEARED BY THE GRAND JURY AND ACCEPTED AS A VICTIM OF CRIME BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.
THE COPS WILL NOT CHANGE THAT STATUS OF A CITIZEN.
WHEN A COP SHOOTS A MAN WITH A KNIFE OF OTHER WEAPON WITHOUT ATTEMPTING TO KILL THE COP, THE COP IS THE "HERO".
WHY IS THAT? CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN?

"considered getting a second opinion"
I think that what he is getting to, is that even if you are "no billed" by a Grand Jury that the LEO's will have in their computer that he is/was a shooting suspect.
How will this affect someone? For the rest of his life, any traffic stop will turn into a Felony Stop...at gun point and multiple backups.

That would not be fun. Does that happen frequently all over, or is this unique to Texas? It almost sounds like a programmed or planned clerical error.
By the way, what is a LEO?

Well I've given it my best thought as have other FReepers here. If you're going to respond, it might be good to do it pretty soon. Glad to see you put up a Texas flag on your profile.
