We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.
Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.
The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."
Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:
Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Defense, defense, defense...Where the heck is it?
Is it savable?
The new furniture is coming tomorrow.
And we're on the verge of signing the contract to have the bathrooms re-done and the house carpeted (though the work won't be done until after the first of the year).
And the kids and grandkids are coming in this week ... son and his family late Wednesday night, daughter and her family on Thursday morning. All 4 grandkids! We're not excited at all ... nope, not at all! :^)
Yesterday we went to see m-i-l ... played Santa and took her gifts early. For years she has been a challenge to buy for because she is satisfied with what she has and, unlike most of us, doesn't have a 'wish list' a mile long. With her in assisted living, the challenge is even greater.
In looking through the tons of catalogs that came this season, I found something really neat for m-i-l ... a wall Christmas tree! It's about a 3 foot tree, pre-strung with lights ... but it's only half a tree (actually less than that) and hangs on the wall, so it doesn't take up floor space.
So we took her the tree and got it hung for her in a little alcove in her room ... and decorated with some ornaments we had bought ... and she is thoroughy, completely, utterly delighted with it!!!
And she is now the big hit at the center. She called us a while ago to find out where we got the thing. Several of the other residents have seen the tree and want one for themselves. To have her getting that kind of positive attention is absolutely PRICELESS for us!!!
And the new brace for her foot/ankle/leg is not only helping her walking but has, surprisingly, helped with her pain. She was very dubious about it but said yesterday that she would put up with braces for her whole body if it would help ease the pain that way. She only got it Friday so we don't know how long this effect will last.
And then we told her about the visitors she's going to have on Friday. The kids, their spouses, and all 4 grandkids are going to visit her on Friday. They've rented an SUV so they can all go together. Just a few weeks ago she was bemoaning the fact that she would probably never even see her newest great-grands and had never even met daughter-child's current hubby so she was overjoyed with this piece of news.
This week will be really hectic ... I'll be taking most of it off from work because I still have to finish decorating the house, have to wrap all the gifts for our early Christmas, and have to do all my baking. But it's going to be a good kind of hectic so I am excited.
Btw, the reason I mentioned the tree is that I know that several of you have relatives in similar situations, either in assisted living/rest homes or in your home but with limited space. Thought you might find that of interest. If anyone wants to know where we got the tree, I'll be glad to post the link.
I haven't been a big Broncos fan since SuperBowl XXXII.:)
Not really sweetie, IF you ONLY knew the game I am playing..I so have NO LIFE!!!!

The Bengals are a terminally messed up team (aka the Bungles). They have a habit of reaching up and biting good teams, yet flop when things are on the cusp.
If things are on the line, they are likely to lose...but even moreso if it's a pitiful team like this years 49ers or Dolphins than a team like the Eagles - who they just might reach up and trash.
Same place the offense & special teams are:nowhere to be found.:(
HEY~~~
Not fair!!!
How do you do that Mozie???
I'm afraid not.
Oh wait.you're talking about the fudge................
It's a gift.:-)
LOL!
Does your boss know you plan on taking most of the week off?????
ENjoy sweetie!!!
Let me try!!!
BIT!!! Shut up!
I hope I can refrain from tearing it apart during the 2nd half.....................
The other option is to have it be fudge soup, which requires eating with a spoon. Again, the taste is the same.I use the recipe on the Hershey's cocoa tin and it is wonderful stuff ... but a nightmare to those on Atkins or other diets.
I have had that happen ... just get out the ice pick and poke away. It still tastes good.
I like the posts this way...
ROTFL
LOL
