Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.

Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.

The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."

Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:

Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.

The dinner was lovely.....my friend's house was one chosen for an entree....(two other houses chosen as well)...

...She lives on the river and has a two story country style home, and it was beautifully dressed out for Christmas.

Later, at the dessert house, we had a riot exchanging and swapping and swapping and swapping gifts...!!!

I ended up with a huge snowman platter....perfect for the rest of the holidays entertaining.

We saw the lights at a local Garden last night with friends; there was music playing and warm cider and we had great fun.

Late this afternoon I'm going on a tour of houses decked out for Christmas and will miss the first half of our neighborhood Peninsula Christmas party but will rejoin the festivities halfway through. We exchange tacky gifts and swap out and have lots of laughs.
