We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.
Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.
The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."
Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:
Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I don't know. I highly doubt that we'll be playing either USC or Oklahoma. That was planned long ago. I expect we'll probably be going to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
The regular season is over. It was a resounding success 2 weeks ago and now it is nothing but gravy.

Good morning. Neets, I thought I saw somebody else post that IG was away on a trip somewhere, but not sure.
We have tickets to go see a childrens theatre put on "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" today. Such a cute play. Our daughter used to participate in this childresn theater so will bring back memories.

I thought Iowa was to get back this weekend (in DC I think)
just came back from quickie bike ride/dog run.. just abut 1.5 miles in neighborhood.. but O usually finds some squirrel to chase up trees & deer to chase into valley & so gets a big run in AM.
brisk but really mild for this time of year (or am I just incorrectly remembering that winters in OHIO are awful?)

It's hilarious. About a family of neighborhood bully-type kids who intimidate their way into getting lead roles in a church Christmas pageant. And how the experience changes them, of course.

Temperatures haven't been too bad here yet either Dolly, but I don't want to speak too quickly. It's always a guess as to whether we'll be able to make any ice luminarias outside, and make several for our walk, or if we'll have to make just a few in our freezer and put them out on the step on Christmas eve.
So far it's looking like the freezer will be needed but it's early in the month yet.

Salvation Army Bell ringer dilemma.. interesting. Our groups locally in NE Ohio do a lot of good work.
Did an "abbreviated Kayak outing" yesterday.. cold & so two hours was enough for me rather than the 6 hours the group intended. Fun time though. I went to rock hall of fame until it closed (took along 3 other "COLD" Kayakers.. & then to my Republican club Christmas party.
Host is a bell ringer each Christmas & is very involved in the Salvation Army year round, on local board.
This is a extraordinary bachelor home. The owner, BJ, is our president. It is truly like something out of house beautiful.. valuable collections, wonderful original artwork, great furniture, electronics, decorating in general.. and no messes.... VERY heavy into political decorations.. re: the patriots, Williamsburg's, Jefferson etc.. also a neat collection of Cat's Meow (IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW.. IF NOT DON'T ASK)
He just ran an unsuccessful bid for state rep for Ohio.. but in busy as he owns his own business & very active with politics etc.
His girlfriend of many years is manager of the Talbots in our area.. she is about a size (minus) 2.. TINY. and sweet. both are in 40s & never married.
He has about 8 cats which were all prisoners in the study for evening. Quite a few of us visited & played with them.
In the "cats" room is a wall with plaques /bell ringing pix over the years of salvation army. Really heart warming to see. That someone who is very successful, intelligent, well versed, still can separate ego & do some worthwhile things for the sake of the needy. A rare but beautiful thing

Good morning Nita!
prairie, I'll get back to you later...
Guenevere, hope the dinner went well last night..
Utah Girl, "eyelash" yarn is a new term to me, but that must be it. The package I have is called Fun Fur, but the maker's name, I don't remember. Not sure if I like the chenille yarn with it or not...
(((bev))), repeat after me : I won't worry about Ohio....I won't worry about Ohio....:-))
