AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1414 and 1415) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 4, 2004 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.

Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.

The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."

Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:

Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I remember years ago .. a friend of mine ....a little squirt...much like you...( hugs)...would drink shots of Tullamerdo (sp) Irish whiskey until she literally slid out of the bar stool. It didn't take too much to do that.

Thanks for the link! Sorry to hear Army lost though, my daughter's best friend's (they're twins) brother... played for Army a couple years ago. Great young man, and he's still in the military.

BTW Prairie, I just love Zell.

Don't know if I've told you this story, if I have forgive me, but I thought it was so cute.

My sister and brother in law were honored with a personal visit with President Bush and Zell when he came to Ross Co., Ohio, as they did so much for the campaign locally. Anyway, of course my sister was mesmerized over our President, as I would have been, and he was very sweet and considerate to her. She told him about the passing of our father in May, and how working on the campaign had helped take her mind off of the loss. The president said that he would keep our family in his prayers, etc. Just like what you would expect of the man, pure class.

Anyway, about Zell. My brother-in-law walked up to him and said, "Can I shake your hand?"..and Zell said in that famous Southern drawl, "Well, what's your name, son?" My brother-in-law told him, and then Zell grabbed his hand, shook it firmly and said, "Nice to me you, I'm Zell Miller."

I really need to run downstairs to get some ice. But I think I'll wait for an hour or so. Everything is quiet in the parking lot, but the SPs tend to lurk.....

Not that any of us need to worry about that....

I found it:

1. Colonel Puff - essentially a memory game, fairly complex but great fun.

Colonel Puff

Beer GamesColonel Puff is best played with a close group of friends and each participant must be very observant and alert at all times and certainly not drunk…..to start with!

Firstly all get a full drink preferably a pint of Real Ale, the game can be played with shorts but could be over very quickly and end up very messy!

Everyone sits around a table or other suitable round object, and master of ceremonies starts the game by explaining the rules, in short (this can be exaggerated as much as you wish) we are all going to drink to the health of Colonel Puff a great and wise man, first I will demonstrate the correct method then you shall all follow in turn.

Should you make an error in your tribute to this great man you should re fill your glass and start again!

The Demonstration begins

"I drink to the health of Colonel Puff for the first time"; he takes a swig of Ale with one finger and thumb on the glass, and then taps the glass firmly on the table once. Then with the index finger of his left hand taps the top of the table once, then the same with the index finger of his right hand, then repeats this on the underside of the table, first left then right. He then stamps his left foot once followed by his right. Finally he stands and sits down.

He continues

"I drink to the health of Colonel Puff Puff for the second time"; he takes 2 swigs of Ale with two fingers and a thumb on the glass, and then taps the glass firmly on the table twice. Then with two fingers of his left hand taps the top of the table twice, then the same with two fingers of his right hand, then repeats this on the underside of the table, first left then right. He then stamps his left foot twice followed by his right foot twice, finally he stands and sits, stands and sits down once more.

All of the participants think they are remembering this of course!

So the master of ceremonies concludes

"I drink to the health of Colonel Puff Puff Puff for the third and final time"; he takes 3 swigs of Ale (the last swig emptying the glass) with Three fingers and a thumb on the glass, and then taps the glass firmly on the table three times. Then with three fingers of his left hand taps the top of the table three times, then the same with three fingers of his right hand, then repeats this on the underside of the table, first left then right. He then stamps his left foot three times followed by his right foot three times, finally he stands and sits, stands and sits, and stands and sits once more.

The last action is to turn the now empty glass on top of his head.

Easy eh? Well now it’s your turn! Off you go drink to the health of Colonel Puff I do hope you’ve been paying attention? And remember any mistake now matter how small and your glass shall be filled and you can start again.

Tips for the MC
