We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Russian President claims America wants a new dictatorship in Iraq, saying Russia cannot see how a free and fair vote can be held next month with the violence in the country.
Speaking of Iraq, the Navy is investigating new photos, predating Abu Ghraib by several months. AP notes "the far more brutal practices photographed in Abu Ghraib prison occurred months later." AP writes these pictures of Navy Seals recall aspects of Abu Gharib insofar as the prisoners were being assaulted and humiliated.
The AP specifically called out the fact that there were "grinning men wearing U.S. flags on their uniforms."
Decide for yourself, here are the pictures released by AP:
Other than the one above where the Seal is sitting on the prisoner, and even that is extraordinarily borderline as no context is being given, where's the abuse? Must be the flag, since the AP is liberal, and liberals hate America.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Hi! Back from buying the Christmas tree (which won't go up until the 15th). It is in a washtub of water out back.
I also put evergreen arrangements in all of the windowboxes. Mr. Marple is painting some trim and I am to find out where and when we can see "National Treasure" this evening.
Back later.

I am hoping that bro brings the little ones in to sleep over Christmas Eve.
I decided I am going to get my Pixie niece an Easy Bake oven for Christmas.
She has been asking for one for quite a while and loves to cook with me.

Well, the cupcakes certainly came out better than the "cake" I recall having made decades ago --- something about it made it shorter in the middle than on the edges - I dunno what happened there! Coulda used it to patch a canoe, or even a tire I think. And, several months ago I was asked to buy a "can of frosting" for a school thing for her (the 'class parents' know where I'm coming from already) - I didn't even know that stores even had such a thing as cans of frosting - lol - but it ended up being extra and going on my shelf instead of being used - and that was what we put on the cupcakes. Some small amount of comments that Jo wanted some 'sprinkles' on them, but we didn't have any - and she accepts such minor setbacks very easily considering her age... (great kid) I'll have to get some sprinkles sometime I suppose ....
Microwave and stir, Peach: that sounds like a plan! lol...
I almost totally rejected even reading the "fruitcake recipe" just on the basis of it having more than four or five "ingredients", but fortunately the way I read meant that I saw enough so note it was something I might actually attempt ---
Years ago Erma Bomback, or someone like her, wrote an article stating that men are like "bears with furniture". Someday I'll have to copy it here for you all --- it describes me to a 'T"... LOL...
And as far as my having taken chemistry, heck yeah! The whole reason for my interest in science is an interest in making things blow up and making pretty patterns. That is NOT a very good way to work in the kitchen, though...

I am exited about the game this year.
I really like this new Coach...Bobby Ross signed on not to make money, but to make Army into a winning team. He has his work cut out for him, but he is energetic and I really enjoyed listening tohim....he has that "GO ARMY" Spirit.

Someday, when you have time, which i know is a hot commodity for a single parent, just take an hour or so to just walk through a grocery store, up and down each isle to see what they have, and familiarize yourself with the goods.
Things change so much and it can be quite daunting but at least when the time comes when you need something, you'll know where to start,
And of course, you could ALWAYS comehere and ask ANYONE of us for help!!!

Cooking is applied chemistry. Subtle variations (2CH
2) in the Capsaicin flavinoid result in Dihydrocapsaicin. Which hits the back of the throat harder than the lips or olfactory. And lasts longer.
A perfect hot sauce is spicy all the way from the olfactory and lips to the back of the throat (and beyond ;>)). I have to use chemistry to figure all of that out. 8>)
