We are mindful, Merciful Father, that this beautiful scene is recounted daily across our country, and we thank You for those who have served nobly and well, and who are safely home. Yet there are those whose lives have ended in the service of our nation, and we lift each breaking heart to You, O God, and ask that Your healing hand would be upon these families. Touch them in the very depths of their grieving hearts ... give them the knowledge that their countrymen hold very dear the precious blood that has been spilled for freedom and liberty ... there is no higher calling and no greater sacrifice, and we bow in deepest gratitude and cover their tender years with our tears.
Thank You that You know the pain that is being endured by Matt Maupin's family and friends ... sustain them unto the time when they have news of his fate. Yours is the authority over life, itself, yet we long to know that this young man would have length of days unto his children's children. Thank You that You have given to us abiding hope, and constant prayer. Look with mercy upon Matt and his family, and return him to those who love him. In the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Our Father, we Lift Up to You Matt Maupin and his family, Pleading that Your Mercy would Fall upon them as the Dew from Heaven, Imparting Strength, Comfort and Peace unto the family as they await any news of his fate, Lord God.
