Total crap. There is no detectable spyware, malware, worms, or viruses transmitted by Free Republic.

I work for a very large and notable tech firm and one of the things I do is screen for spyware.

FR has nothing like this.

Do NOT go starting troll rumors for the DUmmies to feed off of, okay?

I have and it is clean until I come to FR.

Try different products. Not all programs get all of the nasties.

Nasty, filthy spywareses.
Trying to hurts the Precious.
But we won't lets them. No we won't.

Sounds like you caught something.
Download and Run:
ZoneAlarm (firewall)
Spybot
AdAware

Best of luck

Your opinions about my intellect are your own but this is the only site that I go to that has this problem.

I will just avoid FR until I can get to a store and purchase another spyware program next week. I don't download programs from the internet - to dangerous and ad-aware doesn't seem to do the job.

Download and run both of these free programs. Be sure to update them before using them.

This is another free program that keeps spyware off of your computer.

I have wondered about this myself. I seem to pick up "My Search" spyware every day, and FR is one of the few sites I visit every day.

Using MSIE?

I've done that. I get "all known bad products are already blocked ..."

"My Search" still gets through.
