What is with the underlined words/phrases in FR?

Complaint about spyware? Why, it's one of the benefits of unrestrained capitalism! You should be giving thanks each time some form of spyware pops up on your screen!
Bowdown and worship the idol of Capitalism each time you see an underlined word! Any other action is purely socialist/communist in nature!

That's SOP for many here on FR.
