Many a Philly kneecap has learned what a baseball feels.
I remember falling asleep on the bus a few times
But it was when I was an adult and had to walk even longer to get home and I too felt embarrassed about it .. *L*
Hey, take care of the wimmin. Gots to go.
Gnight and mooches smooches.
*Snuggling*
Don't feel bad, Sharkey. It's freezing here too tonight.
I think that we make a mistake by blaming our abundant and cheap food for obesity. The lack of exercise, caused by TV, computers, air conditioning and less physical work is IMHO the primary cause of obesity today.
Only takes one time to understand and learn a lesson quickly
As in FLEE!
I feel warmer already. What was in that cup?
I agree .. Fast Food where big back when I was a kid and I ate a number of those greesy burgers
But then .... that was back in the day when kids could run around playing without worries of preverts, druggies and other liberal dem voters with criminal records
Now a days ... parents are scared to death to let their kids run off and play ... or both parents are working and the kids are stuck in the house all day
Who says we need smaller classrooms and more teachers? Baseball bats are more effective and much less expensive.
.
Sweet Dreams
I need to clean up a here .. Be back in a bit myself
Yep ... betcha you those little brats would turn into little angels :0)
Yes. It was normal for us to play outside all day and into the night. We were always playing ball or climbing or building or digging something. I don't think that the food has changed that much, only the activity that used to burn those calories off.
I'll have to look for it ... but a few weeks ago I came across a class picture of mine from grade school
In my one class we had something like 63 kids
Teachers today would have a stroke at the thought of having to teach that many kids at once
Goodnight ladies. See you when the thaw comes.
Today that would require 5 teachers, an extra administrator and a busload of excuses as to why the kids aren't learning.
A few years back .. the Town home Association that I live in ... the board members tried banning ALL types of ball playing because of fear of law suits ..
The home owners freaked out on them about that and they backed off
can't climb the trees or build tree houses either .. again insurance problems
Also, can't dig holes .. that's call destruction of property
Around my ... we don't have sidewalks and the only place to walk or ride a bike is on the streets ... not to safe there with the way the idiots drive up here
And a new building with wall to wall carpeting and central air
