I loved Northern Exposure, too. Imagine my surprise that I later learned that it backfired on the liberal producers, just the same as Archie Bunker. The themes of the programs were supposed to show the liberal slant, but folks didn't buy it. Remember the character who was living in a bubble because he was allergic to the environment? It was written to be taken seriously, but viewers thought it hilarious.
And old conservative Archie was supposed to be the dunce, but it turned out that viewers loved him and agreed with him. LOL

"Shoudl we huddle into a defensive circle, or just stand still and take it on the chin as if invincible?" Oh, like it really makes any difference. We shall play with you at will.

What's next....sensitivity to witches, demons and fairies? That's just plain silly. Ummmm if I recall the witches filed a few lawsuits themselves

"Remember the character who was living in a bubble because he was allergic to the environment?" LOL! Yeah. That whole town was a microcosm of adaptive dysfunctionality.

"And old conservative Archie was supposed to be the dunce, but it turned out that viewers loved him and agreed with him." I loved Archie because he reminded me of my dad. But the show was hilarious too. It really kinda highlighted what "meatheads" liberals really are, and ended up being one of the most successful sitcoms ever. And to think, it almost didn't air. Besides the Beverly Hillbillies, All In the Family and Northern Exposure are my all time favorites. I liked MASH too, although I wish that dumb*ss, Mike Farrell would've just kept his trap shut on politics.

Yes, maybe that is why I liked it so much. I was laughing at liberals before I even knew what they were back then.

It might slow down the process some, but it won't prevent it. Good idea though. Of course, these birds here were having pool parties in the birdbath every night when the weather was warm. I had to fill it 2 or 3 times a day. I could just imagine how bad they'd be with a jacuzzi. LOL!

Threaten Jess with cake if she tells on you.

I'm sure that computers doubled the intensity of whatever words came out.
The kids will forget it.....until next time.
