"If border states would deny health care, welfare, food stamps and crack down on companies hiring them...we would have no problem."

It has long since stopped being a problem of just the border states. They are being imported by the truckloads to Georgia, Iowa, North Carolina and Arkansas, just to name a few. More and more of the American countryside is looking more like Mexico than America. The states aren't going to crack down because they rely too much on federal money, and I have some idea whereof I speak. Neither political party wants to control it because they have a vested interest in rewarding illegals, and to h*ll with the will of the people. It isn't that they can't seal the borders, or prosecute employers who hire illegals. It isn't that the resources don't exist. Where there's a will there's a way, and therein lies the problem. There is no will, except on the part of the people, who, in case you haven't noticed, don't amount to much in the overall scheme of things anymore. If the people pass a ballot initiative they don't like and it gets passed into law, some self-appointed judicial demigod will just toss it out and do what the highest "paying" politicians want anyway. Never mind the fact that the number of mideastern Muslims, in all probability with evil intent, slipping in by blending with the Mexicans coming in from the south has gotten alarmingly high.

You think I don't know that? I have access daily to so much information on my clients that it is downright embarassing, but the embarassment is mine. Most of them couldn't care less.

The searches as demonstrated on TV News are tolerable, using only the back and edges of the hands around private areas.

The searches as actually performed, according to many seemingly reliable victims are something else. These officers are not obeying regulations, they are simply enjoying humiliating people in the confidence that they will suffer it to get on the plane, rather than missing the plane to file charges.

If there are two of you being processed, make sure you both have cameras and make them obvious.
Write down badge numbers.
Be willing to miss a flight to call for a real policeman and file felony assault charges.

I really am afraid of what will happen if this nonsense is tried on Lisa Anne. If anyone gropes her, he/she is gonna be swallowing teeth, badge or no badge.

The same applies to me. I have never in my life allowed anyone to put hands on me with impunity. I never will.
I however, am patient enough to get a badge number, track the clown down the next month and put him in a wheelchair, or a coffin, while he's off duty. Lisa Anne isn't.

Well, we can't seal the borders, as they leak like a sieve.

Nonsense. We can call up the National Guards of the border states, and put the troops on the border with orders to shoot to kill.

An Apache Longbow Helicopter with Hellfire Missiles that can take out tanks can sure handle a smugglers pickup truck.

It's all a matter of political courage.

Stress-Free, Caffeine-Free, Delicious…Soyfee!

Smooth, delicious and packed with vitamins, Soyfee is the amazing coffee alternative for people with discriminating tastes -- people who are looking for a really great hot beverage without giving up the enticing flavor of gourmet coffee. Unlike coffee, Soyfee provides important isoflavones, genistein and daidzein as well as calcium and iron without any of the caffeine. And it won't cause acid stomach like coffee.

Soyfee is the world's first specialty coffee substitute made from 100% OCIA Certified organic soybeans. Our beans are genetically pure, GMO-Free, fat free, 100% gluten free, kosher certified and naturally caffeine free. Soyfee is the ideal choice for people seeking a healthy alternative to conventional coffee. If you’re into health foods, Soyfee is definitely the choice for you!

Quitting Coffee? Soyfee is the Delicious Way to Go!

Just think -- simply by replacing your daily cup of java with Soyfee, you could reduce your risk of cancer (including breast cancer) and heart disease, help alleviate symptoms of PMS and menopause (fewer hot flashes!), lower cholesterol, and wean yourself from a caffeine addiction.

With Soyfee, you’ll be full of real energy, not the false “energy” that comes from caffeine. You’ll also cut down on the stress and anxiety that caffeine can cause.

Best of all, Soyfee is absolutely delicious. Just ask our founder, Marina. She’s so obsessed with flavor and quality; she personally selects all of our soybeans which are grown without pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. Each bean is then slow roasted to bring out the deepest flavor & fullest body in every drop. Soyfee is vacuum packed to ensure freshness and flavor retention.

Soyfee comes in seven delicious varieties, including original non-flavored and dark roast, french vanilla, hazelnut, almond amaretto, mocha and house blend (mix of original & dark roast). We use only all natural flavoring (no artificial flavors & no propylene glycol) for our flavored soy coffee. It can even be ground to make a dark, robust espresso!

Here's to your health!

Take a physician's advice: incorporate more soy protein into your diet. Dr. Suzanne J. Paxton, says, "…both soy and tamoxifen seem to block estrogen's ability to stimulate malignant (tumor promoting) changes in breast tissue, while promoting beneficial effects on the skeleton and cardiovascular system."

Soyfee can also be a healthy part of any weight loss program. And for people with Celiac Disease, Soyfee is the one real alternative to coffee. Most substitutes aren't organic and most are barley (gluten) based, making them off-limits. But since Soyfee is 100% gluten-free, it fits right in with CD/DH sufferers' lifelong adherence to a gluten-free diet.

"I purchased your soy coffee and I love it!! And no heartburn. I'm going to let a couple of stores nearer to my home know about Soyfee so I can purchase it regularly!!!" Chris Nagy

Delicious, nutritious, Soyfee is the one gourmet coffee alternative that really makes sense. But don’t take our word for it try it today!

Fingertip Test Points to Early Heart Disease

Tue Dec 7, 4:23 PM ET

By Megan Rauscher

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - People with abnormalities in the microvessels supplying blood to the heart -- an early stage of coronary heart disease -- often show abnormal blood flow in the fingertip, which can easily be picked up with a simple test, new research suggests.

The test uses a fingertip probe to measure maximum blood flow to the finger, which appears to be a sensitive indicator of the function of the coronary arteries, investigators have found.

Dr. Amir Lerman from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and associates assessed the ability of the fingertip measurement to spot early coronary problems in 94 patients with chest pain but without actual obstruction of the coronary arteries. Thirty-nine had normal and 55 had abnormal coronary microvascular function.

The average blood-flow index on the fingertip test was significantly lower in patients with than without coronary abnormalities, the team reports in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

The results indicate that the fingertip test has the potential "to assess the relationship between dysfunction in the heart region and dysfunction in extremities," Lerman told Reuters Health.

"This simple non-invasive test," he added, "may help identify individuals ... prior to an invasive procedure, such as angiogram, or perhaps even to find those who need more aggressive treatment to slow or stop the progression of cardiovascular disease."

The study was funded in part by the manufacturer of the fingertip probe, Itamar Medical Ltd., based in Caesarea, Israel. The company received U.S. FDA (news - web sites) approval for the test system in 2001.

"U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) expressed disappointment with the conference report on the intelligence bill after negotiators on the bill stripped key border security provisions approved by the House of Representatives in October from the bill."

“Today this congress overwhelmingly approved an empty shell of a bill that will provide far more fodder for politicians’ press releases than it will security for the public,” said Tancredo, “It creates the illusion of security, which in some ways is more dangerous than doing nothing at all.”

From this thread.

I guess I'd better get off to bed. Gonna be another long one tomorrow. Pray the county settles down here! We've been getting more reports than we can handle the last few weeks and everybody is running on burn out. Not a good place to be 2 weeks before Christmas, especially since we're operating short staffed and with everybody taking leaves between now and then, except for one who is already back.

Night y'all. I expect somebody to have coffee on when I get up in the morning!

I agree no one gains weight from black coffee for it is zero calories....but it will interfer with the Metabolism and the acids can over time cause inflammation and thus the strongest predictor of future chronic disease.

You might not get fat but it could very well reek havoc on your glands and organs by that time the damage is done!
