My family always shouts "CHEESE IT, IT'S THE COPS!" whenever we see a police car...my husband says it's from a movie, but doesn't know which one...

Any ideas??

"CHEESE IT, IT'S THE COPS!"

Bender from Futurama always says 'cheese it'.

I say "cheese it, it's the fuzz" and "you'll never take us alive coppers" but I don't know where I got those either.

Good question... I used to say that when I was a kid... I have no idea where it came from.

I remember that too, I think it's from a cartoon however...Warner Brothers...Hanna Barbara perhaps. I'm hearing from the deep recesses of my memory, it's a smarmy rat w/ a Brooklyn accent "Cheese it fellahs, it's the cops!"

Bugs Bunny, in the cartoon where he's stuck in an abandoned house with Rocky the gangster and his low-IQ henchman.
