This is a meaningless post. It does not solve any world problem; it does not cure anything - except boredom; it does not try to convince you of anything. So, those of you who are in a sour mood...don't read further than this line.

Here goes...I just flew pretty much around the world on a business trip. Landing back in DC, and then flying on domestic carriers to take me to San Antonio. The ugliest, most unpleasant, most unprofessional flight attendants have to be working in the US. Some of them were too fat to squeeze through the aisle!

Singapore Airlines had real beauties, as did Thai. But, the most exotic or soon to be most exotic airline to fly on is Kingfisher Airlines in India. They are hiring flight attendants - and they all have to be models. Check them out.

The US used to have drop-dead gorgeous stews too until they passed some law in the 80's to make airline travel as unpleasant as possible.

I just had VERY good ones on USAirways, except for one... and she was drop-dead gorgeous, but spent the whole flight sitting in an empty seat flirting with a passenger. Yes, jealousy...hehehe...plus hating the pile of trash awaiting pickup from my tray.

I saw some flight attendants for China Airlines a couple of months ago. Every one of them were tall (for Chinese), beautiful, with perfectly styled hair, and perfectly fitted uniforms. They literally looked like they had stepped off the pages of a 30 year old magazine.

Yeah, that's exactly how I choose which airline to fly--posts by people on internet forums telling me which one will have "models" serving me juice and peanuts.

Reminds me of the good old days when Southwest Airlines only had three planes, which rotated around a triangular route between Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby Field, and Austin, In those days SWA's motto was "We're someone else up there who loves you".

Their flight attendants ("stews", in those days) must have been the forerunners of the Cowboy Cheerleaders -- and their uniforms were tight and skimpy orange hot pants... I never saw one who wasn't drop-dead gorgeous!

Oh, quite the contrary, not a meaningless post at all. I would say the subject warrants its own website. Absolutely, US carriers, particularly on domestic flights have the most outrageously unfriendly and often ugly, flight attendants in the sky. Great post!!!!!

While I rate Singapore Air as in the top 3, China Air does have incrdibly beautiful, and physically similar, Flight Attendants. Sometimes erily similar. One tiome I swear there were triplets working my flight. An NO, having worked for 20+ yrs in Asia and now living here...they don't "...all look alike to me"....lol!

I guess it saves on uniform costs.

If you travel as much as I do...trust me a plesent and friendly face makes a huge difference. If you on the other hand believe that flight attendents can save you during a crash landing or terror scare...god help you.
