Many pundits say that election 2004 was about morals; moral voters pulled it for bush while immoral ones for kerry. Since crime is consequence of immorality, crime rates by county, especially in battleground states, should resemble election results.
Confirm what?
Are sKerry's supporters all criminals or... are all criminals sKerry's supporters? This is the question! Please help... them (if you must)!!!
I tihink your question is, Are crime rates lower in counties that voted for Bush verses counties that voted for Kerry.
The problem with this is that in some cases it may be true, but in some counties Bush won by small margins so the county appears red.
mmmm margin of victory for kerry should be in the highest in crime ridden counties.
"mmmm margin of victory for kerry should be in the highest in crime ridden counties."
Well, I think they are the highest.
Thanks.
("1" is highest crime rate in that category, "50" is lowest crime rate. Rankings based on 1998 rates per 100,000 population.)

SIMPLY YOU'RE GREAT!
ANY OTHER STATISTIC FOR BIG CITIES?
It would be better by city or county. and more recent data.
Since those stats are by state, they can't be accurately compared with the county 2004 vote map. One could compare them to the electoral college- but I'd venture to say that those stats are old.

For Illinois it seems to hold true that Dem strongholds have higher crime rates. I am reading that right aren't I? (Blue highest)
