What is wrong with Michael Savage?
11-10-2004 | Rca2000

Does anyone here listen to Savege nation? I do, most of the time. Michael Is entertaining, and he DOES tell it like it is. BUT, it seems like nothing Bush does is EVER good enough for him. I never hear Michael complimenting W on much of anything.

Is this just my imagination?

Not anymore. I think I lasted about a month...

I have listened to him twice. He has a unique ability to cram 15 minutes of material into three hours.

I liked Bush but he is turning into a RINO like his father

Well, I knew the amnesty was coming. I just wasn't expecting it a week later.

Michael Savage is telling it like it is.

Bush seems to be spending "capital" that was not earned.

Very few if any conservatives wanted him to legitimize millions of ILLEGAL aliens.

And very few conservatives wanted Bush to appoint someone like Alberto Gonzales to AG when is is PRO-AFFIRMATIVE ACTION and PRO-ABORTION.

It's hard for most of the people even on this website to see clearly in the wake of the big win last week. But Bush seems to be heading striaght to the center and tossing all of us right wingers overboard after we knocked ourselves out helping him get re-elected.

Savage is not crazy; he's impassioned. He's a conservative, not a Republican who follows the party line. He did his bit to help get W re-elected, but he also gives W criticism where it's his due.

"I never hear Michael complimenting W on much of anything. Is this just my imagination?"

Many people in here will resort to calling Mr. Savage a 'nutjob' because of his entertaining style and the fact that he doesn't always grovel at the feet of President Bush. This is why I love listening to the man, he refuses to blind himself to the weaknesses and bad policies of any our leaders simply because he generally supports most of what they do. Savage calls it like it is, and his only big problem with Pres. Bush is his handling, (or lack thereof), of the Mexican border crisis. It is a national disgrace in my opinion as well, that we know there's 10 - 15 million illegal aliens in our country from Mexico and our government wants to instantly legalize them all and grant them what amounts to WELFARE BENEFITS simply because they perform cheap labor for business.

For those who claim Savage is 'crazy', let them explain why they are sitting at their computers making comments in Free Republic while Mr. Savage holds a doctorate degree, has written two National Best Sellers, is the 5th most listened to radio personality in America, and has had famous quests appear on his show like V.P. Dick Cheney. Savage's bellicosity and boistrousness is just for entertainment value, as he's bright enough to understand that to be successful in radio one needs to be more than a good talker, you also need to entertain folks, (which he does remarkably well).

Savage ripped Kerry a new one all campaign long, and was the very first and strongest supporter of the Swifties and later of Sinclair. So give him credit. Bush's amnesty plan is despicable, and him bringing it up first is an insult to Conservatives. You can't blame Mike for being hot about that. I know I am.

Uh, what has W done for us lately? I can't think of a thing. He did not come out against Specter, he appointed a liberal for AG, and he is seeking amnesty for illegal immigrants. He is confirming my previous statement on FR that he is a Rockefeller Republican. Will he be better than Kerry? Yes, on some things. But so far he is batting a big fat zero!

Savage's views are inconsistent, and sometimes it seems like he's just making them up as he goes along. One minute, he'll advocate nuking all the major cities of the Arab world; the next minute, he'll advocate a Palestinian state.

So is there anything us Freepers can do to change that situation, with the illegals, or will our rantings fall on deaf ears?

At first, I enjoyed Michael Savage, but have come to believe that he is far to obsessed with his own intelligence.

I tuned him out after he kept referring to himself as much as he referred to anyone else. He needs to keep reminding listeners that he's published best sellers, that he has a Doctorate, etc. That sort of annoying self-promotion is what made me tune out Bloviator O'Reilly

As it is, I DO happen to agree with much of what he says (i.e. immigration and the like) Unlike O'Reilly, who is a laughable fraud (He keeps shilling for the libs)

It's funny about Savage. I never purposely tune into his show. If it happens to be set on that network on my car radio I stay tuned and am always kind of amused, although I think he is certifiably insane. Just the fact that he thinks he's the only one to be talking about some of the issues he cares about is reason enough to think he's a bit "off"

"Bush actually lost PA because he stabbed Toomey in the back."

Bush support here in PA was maxed out. As long as Philly is part of PA no way Bush could win here. Bush did not lose many votes over Toomey. There is no way Toomey could have won here.
That being said, I supported Toomey and did not vote for Sphincter on Nov. 2. I wish Sphincter would have lost, at least we would not have to worry about him being chair of JC.

Hmmm...

I don't think he is crazy at all.

He does hold two masters and a PHD, and he also carries zero tolerence for BS. (Guess from what University)

His main beefs seems to be, illegal immigration (which W might sell us out on), speaking English in America, and being proud of it, and saving this culture.

Of course he is loud, abrasive and irritating, but he's on the right side of America.

Yes Frank totally agree about Michael Savage -- Bush turned RINO on US after we sweated and prayed and put our personal integrity on the line for him. Now he gets rid of the only decent Rep in his cabinet, Ashcroft? (That's what Savage was saying tonight) and then Bush pushes through his traitorous immigration plan? I am sick.

Savage is honest and tells the truth. He's only a nutjob as far as he doesn't see Christianity for the truths that it holds. God bless M Savage.
