Does anyone here listen to Savege nation? I do, most of the time. Michael Is entertaining, and he DOES tell it like it is. BUT, it seems like nothing Bush does is EVER good enough for him. I never hear Michael complimenting W on much of anything.
Is this just my imagination?

"I have no doctorate degree and I haven't written any books, or had a radio show. I have just raised a family" Apology accepted; that said, I haven't done anything of any great accomplishment myself, just another bozo on the bus with an opinion here.
But I do take exception to people trashing Michael Savage as being "crazy" or a "whacko". To me the man seems quite rational, and he's very much a conservative with strong moral values and a passion for a strong America, (militarily and morally).
Far as I can tell I thought he supported Pres. Bush all the way against Kerry, (though he sometimes got on Bush regarding issues like illegal Mexicans and fighting with too many political constraints in Iraq), which is fine with me. Nobody's perfect. I think sometimes the good folks in FR get a little overzealous for Bush and forget that because WE elected him it is up to US to make sure he represents us. I think when Savage gets on Bush's case sometimes this is what he has in mind, simply holding the President's feet to the fire regarding his promises and policies. I think overall Savage helps the conservative platform considerably.
Enough of this ramble, peace and good health to you and yours.

The only person Dr Savage likes is Dr Savage. Sorry but the guy, with his stream of consciousness babbling, is an embarrassment to the Conservative Movement.

(Savage is bi-polar. He's manic depressive.)
Yep, that is a pretty good diagnosis

and of course by being critical of SOME POLICIES of the man
Actually Dr Savage is critical of everything and everyone that is not Dr Savage or a mindless devote to the cult of Savage.

Sorry you seem to have too a wrong turn. Deluded Paranoia is the stock in trade of the Democrat Underground. We at Free Republic demand a higher intellectual standard from our posters.

C'mon, guys, I did not start this post so that Freepers could start bad-mouthing each other, I was curious as to why Savage is so Anti-Bush, or so it seems.(most of the time, anyway. He IS right on the immigration issue, and I do NOT like the fact that the new AG is pro-choice).But still, Savage could be a LITTLE easier on W, couldn't he?
And BTW, let's all of us, try to be a little easier on each other. i may be a newbie, coming on board about the time of the CBS document fiasco and such, but still, I LOVE this site. let's just try to be civil to each other, for all of our sakes. we have enough common enemies out there, to worry about, and also, trying to make sure W does NOT forget us "right wingers", who put him back into ofice.

Just read this forum, you'll see the same type of crap. Mostly it comes from the conservative "purists" who go ballistic whenever Bush does anything they feel isn't conservative enough. (Of course to them that is all the time.)
Yep the same "purists" who spent the election running down Bush. But don't take them too seriously. We keep them around because it is fun to taunt and mock them. They seem to revel in their political impotence and mental incompetence.

So is there anything us Freepers can do to change that situation, with the illegals, or will our rantings fall on deaf ears?
Actually come up with some alternative solutions other then "Deport everyone a shade darker then me" and get the New Media to push them. This wet dream on the right that they can magically round up all the illegals and deport them is nonsense. If you can come up with a REALISTIC alternative on how to deal with the illegals, a lot of Freepers will support you. The illegals ARE a problem. What are we suppose to do about them? Right now Bush has a plan to try and bring them ABOVE ground where we can keep an eye on them. The Hard Right hates that. FINE, then come up with a REALISTIC alternatives that is politically DO ABLE. What we are NOT going to EVER support is this closet racist ranting over and over again about "Jorge Bush."

((I think some over-the-top statement about gays began his disintegration.)
Is that a reasonable (if totally uninformed) guess?
Pretty damn close, his TV show was just catching on And IMO was getting better each show then on the now infamous 4th of July barbeque show he told some gay caller "I hope you get AIDS and die you soddomite!" And that was that. But like I said before he's always been a little bi polar.

Please don't confound a passionate and highly expressive nature with a "psychiatric" condition. You hurl labels around very freely. I gather you've never lived in NYC.
btw, Savage's radio show is syndicated, runs on hundreds of stations nationally and keeps picking up more. So much for the Peter Principle.

Why do you ask? Where do you understand that we don't?

Enforce existing law, arrest, jail, and fine anyone employing illegals, that includes homeowners who pick up one at the curb.
Every state pass legislation such as #200 in AZ and SaveOurLicence that we are trying to qualify for the ballot in Calif.
Envorce those 2 and they will either have to stave to death or go home, I don't care which.

I listen to Laura Ingraham instead, she's on at the same time in the Boston market. One day H' would scream not to vote for Bush The next night he'd be screaming that we have to vote for Bush
He's a loon.

Hugh was on in Los Angeles 3-6PM. I caught him at 5 going home from work. Now he is on 3-5PM. Savage is 5-8. Hugh's last hour is after 8 when nobody tunes in because of dinner. Keep in mind that this is the Southern CA market - some 10 million people.

I'd rather listen to Michael Savage than to Air America!
I voted for Bush but i'm frustrated with what he did!

Ever since the MSNBC firing, I have come to conclude that Michael Savage is a woofer. He talks a big game but is nothing more than a showman. Now he badmouths Rush and Bill because they are not as conservative as he is. That's probably true, but don't be a sissy and call them "Gulfstream," and, "The Leprechaun." If you are going to insult people call them by their name, don't do the kiddie thing of making fun of them.
The other thing that burns me is taking credit for what others have done. What has he actually done? Can someone tell me other than do the professor thing of writing books? Pat Buchanan (another woofer and big media insider favorite) does the same thing, and what has he done? Recently? Past 5 years? 10 years? Richard Nixon era?
In the end, I can't take the man seriously even if he has good ideas. Just because I like a certain car doesn't mean I'll buy from a dealer that treats me bad. He can do his little stage show and stroke his giant ego in the process. Like Pat and Ralph Nader, Michael Savage needs to actually do something to be taken seriously.
