My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning, Sam!
WOW what a find, "The Eye of The Dragonfly." Thanks so much.
Good tunes today, too.
Have a good day!

I'm still tired (and sore). Getting too old. ;-)

You have been doing a lot of hard work. It's going to pay off Sam.

Good morning, Lair! Off to a busy start today. I hope everyone's Monday is going well!
The Call
Rupert Brooke
Out of the nothingness of sleep,
The slow dreams of Eternity,
There was a thunder on the deep:
I came, because you called to me.
I broke the Night's primeval bars,
I dared the old abysmal curse,
And flashed through ranks of frightened stars
Suddenly on the universe!
The eternal silences were broken;
Hell became Heaven as I passed. --
What shall I give you as a token,
A sign that we have met, at last?
I'll break and forge the stars anew,
Shatter the heavens with a song;
Immortal in my love for you,
Because I love you, very strong.
Your mouth shall mock the old and wise,
Your laugh shall fill the world with flame,
I'll write upon the shrinking skies
The scarlet splendour of your name,
Till Heaven cracks, and Hell thereunder
Dies in her ultimate mad fire,
And darkness falls, with scornful thunder,
On dreams of men and men's desire.
Then only in the empty spaces,
Death, walking very silently,
Shall fear the glory of our faces
Through all the dark infinity.
So, clothed about with perfect love,
The eternal end shall find us one,
Alone above the Night, above
The dust of the dead gods, alone.

Afternoon Colonel!
Whoa!! What a powerful poem today.
Sorry I am so late getting to respond. I have been busying myself with odds and ends.
Hope all is well with you.

A mortal
sculpting a showpiece
of souls of glass
a love illustration
statuesque and flowing away.
A smouldering tragedy

The Open Road
Grass and trees roll past my sight,
as 18 wheels just roll on by.
Over the hill I see the lights,
they pierce the darkness in the night.
Dampness in the air I feel,
as drops of rain hit the windshield.
Listening to the "Eagles" play,
waiting for the break of day.
City after city lights,
oh they're such a pretty sight.
Oh there is no other way,
to see our country on display.
The rolling mountains, the roaring seas,
put my mind and soul to ease.
Thank you God for allowing me,
to gander upon our Awesome Country.

Good morning, Sam!!
Oh, nice graphic and poem today. I love the open roads!
My dearest friend Shirley was taking driving lessons to drive a semi. Our big dream was to travel across America in her rig and have a blast. Unfortunately the dream never materialized, she didn't pass the test and she developed cancer and died many years ago. We did however, chalk up many miles and states together on the road. I miss her a lot.
Well, hope the shop is shaping up!
Thanks for the tunes goodies all of them. :-)
To: Darksheare
Hi Darksheare! Good to see you.
Hey, I have snow on the ground today with more to come, do you?? It's cold out there.
To: bentfeather
No snow here yet.
Merely nippy and breezy.
But it did get down in the low 30's last night.

Oh, we went to 25F. Nice day today however, they are predicting snow showers.
To: bentfeather
Yeeks.
Been dealing with a nice cold for the past few days.
The only reason I can breathe at the moment is because I'm dehydrated.
The second I drink anyting I start to mucus up again.
So I'm looking at the coffee pot and whimperign.
;-)
The weather changing probably got me.
It's a blessing at the moment that there wasn't any snow down this way yet.

Oh the cold, I have been dealing (not so well) for the last 2 weeks with the thing! Talk about filling up, yikes.
I am looking forward to this curse being removed any day now.
To: bentfeather
Once the weather stays cold, my lungs will appreciate it.
For now though, sneezing and hacking will be a way of life.
*chuckle*
At least it isn't sneezing due to pollen and such.
Gotta go get some stuff done.
Be back in a bit.

Who said this:
"Man, unlike any other thing organic or inorganic in the
universe, grows beyond his work, walks up the stairs of
his concepts, emerges ahead of his accomplishments."
HINT: He also wrote "The Pearl."
