My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Music of the Heart
In every human heart there is always a special song.
A melody that touches the soul, a melody that can do no wrong.
Sometimes we hear a sad song when good friends part,
Or simply for a broken tired heart.
Sometimes we hear a happy song when a new baby is born.
Or simply it is just for a beautiful morn.
With any song there are many movements,
But that divine melody never ever relents.
One movement will be sad;
the next movement will make us feel glad.
Life is made up of many songs.
Each song is special. Each song belongs.
Each day is orchestrated to perfection by the divine.
But there will always be one song that is uniquely mine.
The music of the heart accompanies us throughout life.
In happiness and in strife.
But it will always be there to bring comfort and peace.
With this melody comes the greatest release.
Embrace that special song in your heart.
That divine melody and you will never ever part.
It will always be there when you need to hear it.
Be still, be at peace and listen to it.
Always give thanks for that special song from above.
Listen to the music of the heart and fill the world with love.

Flower In The Desert
A short story from the Sioux Nation, over 200 years ago.
by Loki
This happened many many summers ago.
There was a young flower in the desert where all was dry and sad
looking...It was growing by itself...enjoying every day...and saying
to the sun "When shall I be grown up"? And the sun would say "Be
patient"---Each time I touch you,you grow a little"...And she was so
pleased.Because she would have a chance to bring beauty to this
corner of sand...And this is all she wanted to do---bring a little
bit of beauty to this world.
One day the hunter came by---and stepped on her.---She was going to
die---and she felt so sad.Not because she was dying ---but because
she would not have a chance to bring a little bit of beauty to this
corner of the desert.
The great spirit saw her, and was listening.---Indeed,he said ...She
should be living...And he reached down and touched her---and gave
her life.
And she grew up to be a beautiful flower...and this corner of the
desert became so beautiful because of her.

The Eye of The Dragonfly
While visiting our pond one day
I saw an awesome sight.
I watched a great, large dragonfly
With wings spread out in flight.
He crossed my path a dozen times;
He seemed to know no fear.
He zigged and zagged and zagged and zigged;
I watched as he came near.
I must have watched an hour or more
Before he flew away.
I watched him leave and called for him
To please come back and play.
He soared away to Grandpa's house.
I chased him as he fled,
'Til soon he darted out of sight
Behind my Grandpa's shed.
Grandpa was sitting on the porch
Just looking at the sky.
He saw me running up the path
After the dragonfly.
I asked my Grandpa if he knew
Of any bug so large.
And Grandpa said to follow him
Back into the Garage.
In boxes big and boxes small
He showed me a delight . . .
More than a hundred insects
With pins holding them tight.
I've never seen a treasure
Of gems or pearls or such,
To make my heart start pounding
Or my hands so want to touch
As when I saw a dragonfly
Just like the one I'd chased,
With long and slender body
And wings made out of lace,
And as I looked more closely
I could not hold back a sigh.
for looking right back at me
Was a single, open eye!
Then Grandpa said,
"Here's how you'll know a Darner, every time.
But that eye that seems wide open
Is actually quite blind.
For with just a spot of color
Nature marked it from the rest,
Knowing that, of all her insects,
This dragonfly is best!"
