~The Dragon Flies' Lair~Thread XVI~
November 6, 2004 | bentfeather and Poets of the Lair

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay
for a while and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are
never the same.

Good morning, Sam.

Short and sweet today.

We have about 3" of snow this morning and it's cold, 17 F temp with -5 wind chill.

Good weather for feeding the birds.

Evening Ms. Feather!

Norah Jones ~ Come Away With Me

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song

Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can't tempt us
With their lies

I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
So won't you try to come

Come away with me and we'll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I'll never stop loving you

And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

Vagabond Moon Trekker

Vagabond moon trekker
following
your heart
returning on forgotten paths
offering
love again with your eyes
my answer was delivered
in droplets of love bathing me with
a sculptors hands returning
my desire

In the city of Reykjavik, Iceland, one can see the stars
eighteen hours a day during the heart of the winter. During
the summer, sunlight is visible 24 hours a day.
