Geez, that month I spent with a breakaway sect of the Seventh Day Adventists in Washington Heights was really an adventure. It just wasn't for me, though. Know what I mean?
They were all like: "You must abstain from impure acts." And I was kind of skeptical initially. Then, they came back with: "Well, it's not like your whack game is getting any play in the first place. Just give it up already!" And I was all like: "Screw you buddy! I still have FreeRepublic."
Thanks for being there, guys!

Alright, so I am under 25-barely.
But I do speak the same language, or at the very least, a variant thereof.
Not Cambridge-educated, Professor Higgins-type English, I'll grant you.
Then again, I've lived my entire life in Bklyn., so what do you expect?

To: tuliptree76
Yeah, give or take a couple of years.
I always think it's strange when someone tells me that I look enormously different and/or better after I've shaved off most of my facial hair.
I just always assume that it's a roundabout way of saying I look less creepy.

I have only seen the picture of you with the gotee. Did you have a full beard?
To: tuliptree76
Unfortunately, that underbrush is-essentially-the fullest extent of my whiskers.
Once I realized that I wasn't going to develop one of those traditional Pashtoun/Robert Bork-style beards, I decided to pack it in and grab the nearest razor.

So I'll have to try to picture you without the gotee. ;-)
To: tuliptree76
It should be easy.
I ran into the girlfriend of someone I know the other day-after I had shaven off my mustache and goatee-who said-somewhat apologetically-that I looked much better this way.
Which is kind of a tacit admission that I looked pretty gruesome without the shave...

The origin of this bizarre and inscrutable screen name is explained...um...kind of.

I never met Scourge. It seems he was well liked.
I quit watching SNL regularly due to the liberal message of many of their skits * gags *. I'm sorry, the deeper meaning of your name has been lost on me.
Looking forward to more posts and pings, do not dub me.

Thank you.
I'll be sure to avoid "dubing", for future reference.

I was refering to you "do not dub me", so that I did not have to type out your whole name, "Do not dub me shapka broham".
Maybe I should just call you Alex, or Alli.

Whoa, Alli, you know everyone here?
Are you a lurker too?
(I like Alli, better than Alex. My baby bro, and I do mean baby - I'm 24 yrs older than him, used to call me "teenee" because he couldn't pronounce my name.)

Heh, heh.
That kind of reminds me of my nephew, who used to call me "Ugum Gerard", before he learned how to pronounce complete sentences.
