And thanks for all that you did too, Guennie.
Very sad news about Mrs. Edwards; I hope she'll make a full recovery. She has two little children to raise.
In all the commotion of the last couple of days, I have forgotten my manners and have failed to say, "welcome back!"
Thanks Guenevere, you were an inspiration down there in Florida! Let's retire the FloriDUH, right???!! LOL!
I'll go hang a strip of wall paper, and return....
check out link in post 115. Breast cancer supposedly found a week ago, diagnosed yesterday. Kept hushed.
Prairie (not even wanting to comtemplate what a sympathy vote would have meant)
The boys look wonderful.
EAgles... hmmmmmm.... in Florida?
BTW.. Your state looked great election night. Congrats.
Ours is still in dispute with rampant voter fraud by the Dems.
Amazing...
Oh my. Will keep her in my prayers. Thanks prairie.
Wonder if she crawls into a coffin during the day and comes out at night,
I will be interested to hear about your Bible Study confrontation. I will bet cash money that you didn't start it!
Praying for her and her family.
For real? I have not heard thid yet, I knew he was 'low sick' (southern for real sick), bet Satan told him 'been waiting on you'.
And it probably amount to...stolen election...all votes must be counted...
And about Arafat... "He's dead, Jim".
/john
According to one thread on FR that should be corrected to read, "He's brain-dead, Jim."
No, Jane, didn't start it, but I finished it!
lysie, the issue, at least this morning, was the Marriage Amendment...keep this in mind as you read what happened...
This woman, "L" is a pretty new member of our congregation and Bible study...3 years, about.
She has serious mental health problems, but CAN function for fairly long periods of time. During those times, she is loving, contributes, makes pretty good use of her talents, and understands pretty well her situation and how to handle her emotions...pretty well.
About 4 of us were already gathered this morning when one of the guys came in giving us a warning about "L". Sure enough, 1 look at her face and we knew we were in for turbulence.
She slammed her Bible down so hard the table moved. She started yelling, and almost knocked the table over....
What was she yelling?
That all the *(&^*(*& and )(*&*&& would now be rounded up, put thru the incinerator and then their remains discarded.
Understand this: she was using the vilest language about people...she was using the very labels she thinks WE use!
One of the other ladies reacted to the near upending of the table, telling "L" to take it easy, and then she launched into her verbal abuse I described.
That's when I told her to leave and go home....that we loved her, but she needed to go home. It was the combination of the physical threat & verbal abuse that prompted me.
And she left.
Our minister encountered her on the way in...
We worried about her safety in her car (and others), but the line had to be drawn.
This is about loving a sister-in-Christ, but maintaining boundaries.
We found out later she also told someone she'd been held up in her house since Tues. Night, brooding, plus a few other very sad things...
Please remember "L" in your prayers.
I love singing with her. Our voices...she, an alto, and me, a soprano, go well together.
She's about my age, and has had a very hard life. She's trying, really trying, to set a better course....
That's what I thought, Dog...the election and now Arafat. History is something, isn't it????!!!
Couple this article with the comments on election day of Kerry speaking with the press as he voted that he hoped the President would except the results and not contest them.......he knew about the dirty trick that was about to be pulled on the American people....
My blood is boiling over this one..
