AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1384) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 4, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/04/2004 4:26:53 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Interesting factoid to show and tell to your liberal associates:

PRESIDENT BUSH WAS THE FIRST PERSON ELECTED TO THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT WITH MORE THAN 50% OF THE POPULAR VOTE IN 16 YEARS. THE LAST TIME THIS EVENT OCCURRED WAS IN 1988 AND IT INVOLVED ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL WHOSE LAST NAME WAS BUSH AND THE LOSER WAS ALSO LIBERAL FROM MASSACHUSETTS. IN 1988, THE LOSER WAS THE GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS. THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN 2004 WAS THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS IN 1988, AND WOULD SUFFER THE SAME FATE IN THE 2004 ELECTION THAT THE THEN GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS DID IN 1984.

Some more fun facts to show and tell.

President Bush is the first President since 1936 - FDR - to win the Presidency with a majority vote AND pick up representation in his party in the House of Representatives AND pick up representation in the Senate AND pick up one or more state houses.

The GOP gained five seats in the Senate.

The GOP gained four seats in the House.

The GOP gained one governorship.

Terry McAwful, the UOx42 hand-picked leader of the democRATS, has now presided over three straight losing contests, and in each has allows the democRATS to get their tushes handed to them on a platter. This continues the notion that UOx42 has been the best thing to happen to the Republican Party.

The GOP won the vote in 30 states, the democRATS only 20 and the District of Columbia.

The democRATS had no answer. They even tried comparing President Bush to Hitler. In short, the result was that 95% of the counties in America.

Thank you Terry McAwful. We appreciate your brand of campaign.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Presidential news conference coming up in about 5 minutes! I quit painting to watch.

Wasn't that Peggy Noonan column wonderful? Henry V and the Battle of Agincourt is the basis for this passage from William Shakespeare:

Westmoreland:
O that we now had here
But one ten thousand of those men in England
That do no work today!

King:
What's he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No my fair cousin.
If we are marked to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honor.

God's will! I pray thee wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous of gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It grieves me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires:
But if it be a sin to covet honor,
I am the most offending soul alive.

No, faith my cousin, wish not a man from England.
God's peace! I would not lose so great an honor
As one more man methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. Do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.

This day is called the Feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a-tiptoe when this day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall see this day, and live old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbors
And say, "Tomorrow is Saint Crispian."

Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say, "These wounds I had on Crispin's day."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with added luster,
what feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words-
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester-
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so lowly,
This day shall enoble his rank.
And gentlemen in England, now abed,
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here;
And hold their manhoods cheap while any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

The county map has been updated. I notice that Nebraska is so far the only state to be completely red. In 2000 there were 3: Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming.

Click on the map for the USA Today site with more information to go along with the map.

I am pleased to report the president's press conference was probably his best ever. He was in command, calm, spoke clearly and forcefully and in a very subtle way let the press corp know they are part of the problem in Washington and in the country.

Rush is reporting that Arlen Spectre is transcribing a tape from his meeting with the media and claims they put words in his mouth regarding judgeships and the abortion litmus test.

I saw the very end of it on a hallway TV here at work. You described it so well!

Just think how wonderful the mood has been in the White House the past 24 hours! I'm SO HAPPY and THRILLED for ALL of them!

I watched part of the press conference. Yes, I agree, the president looked really in charge and wasn't in a mood to put up with their idiocy and belligerance. I hope it keeps up through the next four years.

Saw Deej here a few nights ago.

Hey Deej...

Folks, the mood around this school today is somber and bitter. I have had more than a few people snap at me, as I know most voted for Kerry.

I've been low key, and haven't done anything to warrant the attacks, but it continues to amaze me.

Just saw on Fox News report that Elizabeth Edwards has breast cancer.

Speedy recovery for her.

Gotta get back to work.

Mrs. Mulliner reported yesterday about the somber mood at her school too.

She was proud to let her students know she voted for Bush when they asked, but the Kerry supporters are generally conveying their political preferences with Kerry-like long faces and Edwards-like short tempers, I guess.
