Hallelujah pass the pancakes! I just got the backup dvd from Best Buy. Came by work to put a couple more hours in - tomorrow morning I'm waiting at home for my hard drive - and checked it out. The files, the ones I really truly care about, are there. My NaNo story is there. My half-complete master-work is there. My AI semester project, there!
So I lost my music. I've got a dozen cds to get by, my sis is emailing back all the J-pop, and I'll get the rest when I go home for Christmas.
Well, that's good news!
Congratulations! That's wonderful! I considered it added to the TPL...guess that came through again? ;-)
I think I may not write tonight. I'm just sooooo braindead after the day I had. And I didn't even mention the worst of it...got to witness for the first time what happens when someone with diabetes has a low blood sugar reaction - not a severe one, thankfully, but my gosh, it scared me. It was a faculty member who is normally a little slow at explaining things, but all of a sudden it was like she was drunk or something and not understanding me and I didn't know what to do. She was fine after she had some juice and was then able to explain to me WHY she kinda wigged out on me...but it shook me up pretty bad 'cause I wasn't sure what to do at the time.
Of course...the evil writer side of me kinda thought "Kewl...now I know what that's like so I could use it in a story someday." Not very nice of me, but...
