On show weekends, we don't do Sunday morning church. After being there for 14+ hours yesterday and having to head back for three shows this afternoon, it'sa bit much. Pastor even tells us "you are absolved from guilt, sleep in."
We're supposed to finish the tree this morning. I've been up for about an hour and I just heard Nana and Luke up.
The show is going really well. The message is clear and most of the technical bumps have been worked out.
Jr. cut his foot on stage yesterday morning. He's barefoot in the Biblical scene. So we bandaged him up and I gave him my sandals to wear for the other three shows. I've got an old pair I'll take today. It was a pretty nasty gash, but he went on and finished the scene.
Jesus wasn't happy last night. It weren't really a "Silent Night" at the manger.
Nana came with two of the other daughters. Luke and the nephews went with them. She's doing amazingly well. As she says, she needs to build her strength up. That's understandable. But at least she's moving.
Absolute best thing that happened yesterday - Actor playing Santa goes out in the audience for the pre-show and talks with all the kids. Of course he knows a lot of them.
As he makes his exit during the actual show he's walking down the center aisle and he says "And I'll see you on Christmas Eve when you're fast asleep."
Yesterday, he walks down the aisle and pointed directly at Luke and said "And I'll see you Luke, on Christmas Eve when you're fast asleep."
It was pure magic.
Wonderful!
Good morning, I am the only one up... I'm about to go geed ponies breakfast.
Today we go to the beach house to make lefse.
Glad to hear the play is going well and JR is okay. sandles are a good thing. re Nana as LSA said "motion is lotion".
ROTFL! That's leverage for a couple of weeks of 'best behavior!
So glad to hear Nana is doing well. As long as SHE believes she can get better, she will!
