The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You know...if I had any real friends in the Pacific Northwest, they'd probably send me salmon for Christmas.

And a case of wine from the Columnia winery...

I think we've decided not to. It's just too spendy. I'd go if more HH folks were there.

See you later.

~snif~ WeddingMoot....

I can't wait to go back to Washington. I hope it's one day soon. It would be extremely cool to fish for salmon, no doubt. ecurbh and I could have a competition since we're both novices!

*deep sigh* I'm wrapping things up early and going home. I'm sick to death of this cubicle!

See everyone later!

You know, I read on WebMD that Red Zinfindel wine lowers your cholesterol! I'm not a big wine fan and wouldn't know even a decent wine from vinegar, but I sure would gulp down a cup of wine right before brushing my teeth before I'd go on one of those statins.

If we could go fishing, maybe we could send you a salmon. We can't ~buy~ it. That would be wrong.

Unless maybe it was from right off the boat at Westport.

It'd be a shame to freeze it though, it'd be better if you could just come out for some.

I hope these toys have a digital video recorder on them. That way, we can post on some web site that last, "oh sh!t", moment when some islame-o nazi realizes he's about to die as part of an American video game.

Keep the salmon.

Wouldn't say no to a nice wine, though...

I need a red zinfandel that has 16% alcohol. Cheap. I don't care what it tastes like. Any suggestions?
