The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Howdy Rutheee!

Yah... I had somebody like that show up down at the beach house a couple of years ago. Selling meat outta the trunk of the car.

riiiight... like I'm gonna buy that... and say... how come the neighbor's dog isn't running around here anymore?

What scares me is that they probably *do* make sales.

hehehehe....

Better be careful if your neighbor invites you over for a BBQ the day after the meat truck drives thru the neighborhood. ;-D

No - I wouldn't. I can't imagine they have a lot of success... But I never got into the Schwann man either, and them housewives dig the Schwann man almost as much as UPS ;~D

It's like the days back in the dorms at the UW... somebody finally noticed that on the days when they were serving "chicken" in the cafeteria, on those days there didn't seem to be so many seagulls around...

Naw, they sell all kinds of stuff...too expensive for us, but not bad for those with a reasonable income. I can see us ordering from them ASG. I really dig the Man.

Hehehe.

Cool. I like the show so far.

Went out for dinner with some people I met because of NaNoWriMo - other Fort Collins writing people. Interesting how you meet people online that have such interests in common with you! And I had a cosmopolitan (I wasn't driving) which may have been a mistake cuz I'm kind of light headed now.
