Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Fun...
I'm not really awake yet.
Considering it's almost one o'clock...that's probably a bad sign.
I have a dollar fifty and COULD go for soda...but I dunno if that'd feel great on a scratchy throat. Plus it's all the cash I've got! But I'm NOT waking up.

I find soda very soothing, fwiw. The bubbles are nice.
I'm not awake either. Maybe after lunch...

Don't you keep some teabags in your desk? Surely there must be a microwave around where you could heat up some water! ;o)

Oh yes, I will! ASG, I'm going to replace the broken big microwave and the dryer! I'm hoping the oven will get fixed over the Christmas holidays.

I have tea. I've had tea all day. But I'm out of sweetener and I'm kinda tired of hot stuff now.
Yeah, I'm just whinin' like crazy today...

Try a can of something. I find it more soothing than hot stuff after the third cup of hot stuff, anyway.

The six-minute trailer is evidently up now, at http://www.lordoftherings.net/. But dang! I can't see it, since my work doesn't allow us to access streaming!

But if someone could save it and email it to my Yahoo! account....

Ack! I don't get to see it until I get home tonight at 8:30!
ecurbh, any chance you could host a downloadable version at your site? I have this feeling TORN may be inaccessible as word spreads...

The six minute (was it really six minutes? It went by so fast!)
preview is UP at the official site!http://www.lordoftherings.net/
It isn't High Res.... and it isn't easily saved down to desktop so that it can be viewed off-line or forwarded. We can only stream it. I would keep watching TORN for hackers better than ourselves to mirror it.

Thanks, Miss Hair, I'm really looking forward to this Extended Version, and not just for poor ol' Christopher Lee's sake. :^)

Good Farimage..... He even does the noble lines everyone wanted from him about how he would never take the ring, not if he found it on the road, not even with sugar on top.
Ecurbh hacked it and it is currently uploading to our site.
To: HairOfTheDog
Whoo-hoo, something to look forward to!
I'm still mad at the hack-job they did on the poor guy.

I'd say go for it...some people are intimidated by the Hobbit Hole, strangely enough...
I don't think we are very frightening folk!

Ok, I need the movie. How am I going to afford it? Maybe I'll just steal the copy my family will buy.
