Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

You'd need a pretty deep bowl of soup to hide that thing in, wouldn't you?

All accounted for, after many flight delays and 20 or so hours in airports. Made it home about 6:30 local time, just in time to drop the first puck at the hockey game while still in uniform. Gotta run, got leftovers to eat.

I'll give him mine, if I see him before he leaves. If not, I'll send it to him.
He's going over, I'm here stateside. He'll find more useful situations for it, I'm sure!!

Good, um, afternoon!
I've got the Mannheim Steamroller on... about to fix an omelet for breakfast/lunch whatever... and feeling a series need for some Christmas decor.

Last night, I was flipping through the channels and our weather guy came on with a weather update. This was his weather update and I quote:
"I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving, and if you didn't, well, tomorrow will be a beautiful day to go shopping and get rid of some of that depression."
I just died laughing...I think that was the funniest thing I ever heard from a weather guy. I wondered if he might be slightly drunk!

So... I kinda got the urge. Just spent twenty minutes trying to hang lights around my balcony door (on the inside. No outlets outside). And a ribbon for my door, and I might need some garland or something...
I'm blaming Corin.

I'm blaming Corin. Speaking of whom... has anyone heard from him? Did he survive the attic? Did Jr. survive his experience?

I haven't heard...
What can I use to attatch lights to glasS? There are some nails along the top, but the tape I was using wouldn't stick.

Maybe some of those plastic hooks that have the heavy duty sticky foam tape on the back?

I use those clear suction cups with little hooks on them. You can get them at a dollar store or hardware store super cheap. LSA
