Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh... and to answer the other part of your question...
The Killer Whales (Orcas) are not much of a threat to salmon. They feed mostly on seals and such. Salmon are just a little too quick for them. It's actually the seals that are the main predator on salmon.

I actually have that. It's a bit frightening, but...I wanted at least SOMETHING with the music I remembered.
But I really want the old record! From the fifties, I think.
OK, NOW I'm really, really headed to bed.

I am not sure what triglycerides do either. My sister could tell us but then I would have to admit I didn't pay attention to her the first time she explained it to me.
I love her though and hope she is never bitten by a moose.

I think my brother bit a moose once....
oh wait... no, it was the deer ritual, no moose invovled.

I've never been salmon fishing. ~sniff~ This should be fixed. :-) I agree! I said... "Dad... we need to take ecurbh up to Sekiu and go salmon fishing." Asked "Can we go up there and rent one of those kicker boats? Wouldn't that be fun?" He said "Yeah - Maybe Dave and I should take him."
What's up with that?

So I say "Why can't we all go?" and he says.... "Those little kicker boats aren't big enough for four".
What is up with that?

No Realli! She was Karving her initials on the moose with the sharpened end of an interspace toothbrush given her by Svenge - her brother in law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norweigian movies: "The Hot Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Molars of Horst Nordfink"....

The only answer is for me and Bruce to get the boat, a case of beer, and a couple of fishing poles. There is no other way. :-)

Ew. You want to sit in a boat - on top of water, mind - and put nasty bait on hooks and then try to catch slimy fish? And if you catch 'em, you'll probably have to eat them... I think you're better off staying home.

Evening EGE - New Christy Minstrels, lot of their stuff was that way, think I may have a couple of their albums. Mid late sixties IRRC. Ah, those halcyon collegiate years.

And now there's French? I need more wine.
Besides that sounds vaguely insulting.
